Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  1. Yes and wow never seen anything like it. J. Crew seems really desperate but at the same time it's the customer's gain...They had tons of solid t's marked down to 9.99 then extra half off and a huge sign above them saying under 9.99. They had other signs throughout the clearances saying things like under 19.99 etc...Great prices but it gives J. Crew the appearance of a budge store..tried on tons of stuff but even at under 20 bucks I didn't really like anything or the fit. Took my business elsewhere.

  2. I returned the crop mock neck sweater because it's been so warm and because I didn't think I could deal with the itchiness on my neck (based on the red marled turtleneck sweater I bought this year, that's really itchy too but I kept it). While I was there, I bought the vintage crops in Rhodes wash (with the dropped hem). They were $125, marked down to $99, then 50% off final sale so $49.99.

    1. cate, even cashmere is itchy around my neckline so I took to layering tissue turtlenecks under my turtleneck sweaters. Solved my problem without adding much bulk.

    2. Thanks D*ska! I do have a few tissue turtlenecks but I hardly ever wear them. I think i'm just never cold enough for that much high neck. I think the mock neck sweater would not get worn enough. Also, I have a few Boden turtleneck sweaters that I could wear more (that I love and they magically not itchy).

  4. I tries on the new chambray shirt. I likes it and while it seems obviously versatile, I actually don't think it goes well with anything in my closet. I'm down to one pair of jeans, and they wouldn't look good with this top. Anyway, the SA gave me some 15% off in store coupons. There aren't any exclusions listed, bit I doubt they could be used on sale/FS items. Have you had experience with this?

    2. @Ina Mack, thanks. That is surprising, but nice! I might feel too badly getting two discounts to use it, though.

  5. I went by a store this weekend to return a few things. They had a big sale section but nothing that tempted me (surprisingly). I did pick up a tissue turtleneck for my daughter for a whopping $7. The sale section was an extra 50% off. I also stopped by Madewell to return a few things and look around. They are offering an extra 40% off sale and an extra 50% off sale jewelry and shoes! I had placed a couple orders last week online and was able to get the price adjusted on those (since they were sale items).

  9. Tried the Cropped wool pant with satin tux stripe, which was included in 50% off last week. I thought they were cute but didn't see anything written here. To me cut is similar to the Teddies but in a wool with stretch. Some pics and more details on IG @Wearthislikethis.
