I actually really like this promotion. Mainly because the sale section is consistently 40% off and the regular priced items get a nice discount too. Bravo!

Will you be taking advantage of this promotion? If so, please share!

  1. Wasn't yesterday 50% off vacation picks? Maybe today's vacation picks are different.

    1. i just double checked the stuff i ordered yesterday. 3 of the 4 items were in "vacation picks" both days... cheaper yesterday by about $10 for me.

  2. That was my thought, too! Not the kind of surprise I was hoping for.

  3. Was it unreasonable for me to think that the striped dress in the email touting today's sale would be included in the promotion? While, I see when I go back and re-read the email, that this is "workwear" and today's sale is "vacation wear" I still find it a bit misleading :/

    1. I noticed that too. The headline is "vacation wear" so why not show vacation wear? Instead it's how to dress for hot weather on your walk to work and cold AC inside. Odd. Plus did she leave the shoes and blazer in her office? They should have showed her carrying a tote bag so we could imagine those items were inside.

  4. OT: Does anyone happen to have a Boden $15 off code they aren't going to use? If so, I'd love to make good use of it for you. TIA! :) Email: allthingssimplified.me@gmail.com

    1. Thanks for the great review, Gigi! If anyone is interested in this top, I tried it in store today, and the SA said all the tops were 30% off.

  6. Reviews: I placed an order last week for a bunch of shorts and got them on Tuesday,
Rayner shorts were a total miss for me. I didn't find the cut nor colors flattering. I tried two sizes and didn't even bother to take more than one out of the package.
The side zip shorts in denim and white remind me of what the side zip Rayner jeans might be. I like the slightly wider leg and rise. I don't really think the belt loops are necessary, and I love wearing belts, but the line is so clean without. My 14 year old thought they were funny without a zipper in the front and also thought they were too long—she prefers them cuffed. Front looks good cuffed but the back is too short like that. I wish they came in black. I'm not sure about the white just because they're so likely to get dirty but otherwise these are a keep.
I looked at the floral eyelet skirt in black but actually wasn't as crazy about the material as I thought I would be and it actually seemed sort of long (I just held it up).

Stopped off at Madewell after I returned the other shorts and did try the eyelet skirt that was actually marked final sale online today where it wasn't a few days ago, I was tempted online and I have to say I think this is a great piece. I'm definitely more into geometrics than florals and the eyelet is a very cool design. I also like the stiffness of the material, it's almost like netting. Plus the skirt has pockets. Looked great with a striped painter tee and I'll try with a looser white button down and leather belt.

The Ollie pants! I'd been eyeing these for awhile and they happens to have been further reduced on the sale rack and my size was there. Super cute. The fit runs a little loose so rather than really high rise they sit on my hip. I cuffed them a few times to crop and they look great.

I ordered the boardwalk lace up sandal in allt three colors online, in case I didn't get to the store and ends up that was a good move since they're more expensive in store. Not sure if I will keep all but some of my older casual sandals are on their last legs and these are cute and flattering.

    1. Hi Suz, that's good you liked the eyelet skirt. Did you end up buying it? I'll be receiving mine Friday.

    2. Yes, I bought it. Tried it on again at home with lace up gladiators that have a block heel and the bellshift tank in black, tucked in, with a very old RL leather belt, it looked like a cute dress! With the striped painter it looked more casual. It'll work with a white button down too. My phone is full so I couldn't take pics but I love it and it definitely fills a wardrobe hole. I like it a little higher on the waist than shown on the website model pics but the waist is elastic so it could be worn lower too. Hope you love it! Report back!

    3. True, but then you look at the dates and it says 24th
Maybe it was meant to be send at midnight

    4. Agreed, but TODAY was bold and I got it mid afternoon, so tha t was misleading.

    5. Yes, you are right. I took as a mistake/email sent hours too soon .
@suz has, shoes ideas with your Ollies?

    6. Almost anything! They can be dressed up with heels or worn with flip flops or sneakers. The cut reminds me of the Jcrew Slim Utility Pant (Google and u can see a pic on Poshmark, shown with a red Martina wedge I think). It's a straighter leg, not wide but not tapered. I like them cuffed because they're full length on me. For $14 what a great deal.
