Permission to Splurge Some More at Madewell: 40% Off Sale

"Thanks!" to many of you, who let us know about the following promotion.

Madewell is offering customers to take an extra 40% off sale items with promo code EXTRA40. The offer expires January 5, 2015. The fine print includes:

Offer valid on the purchase of sale items at madewell.com from December 29, 2014, 12:01am ET through January 5, 2015, 11:59pm ET. Offer not valid in Madewell stores or on phone orders. Offer cannot be applied to previous purchases or the purchase of gift cards and cannot be redeemed for cash or used in combination with any other offer. To redeem, enter code EXTRA40 in the promo code box at checkout. Limit one promotional code per order. Offer valid in the U.S., Canada and Japan only. Terms of offer are subject to change. Final-sale items cannot be returned or exchanged.
This is a great deal for sale merchandise at Madewell. They already were running this promotion in their brick & mortar (B&M) stores, so it is nice to see they finally brought it over to online as well. Not going to lie, already picked up an item or two. They just make it sooooo easy. ;)

Don't forget that Madewell offers free shipping on any and every order. Happy shopping!

Will you be taking advantage of this promotion at Madewell? What Madewell item are you hoping to pick up? Please share!

  3. I ordered some sale things on dec. 23 and dec. 25 and just got off the phone after a super-easy price adjustment process, as always. a little sad to see that the items I bought in three other orders two weeks ago at 30 percent off were still in stock and so I could have bought them at 40 percent off instead now (and they're out of the price-adjustment window, so I just have to eat the difference), but oh well. I appreciate the price adjustment for these two most-recent orders regardless!

    1. This is a bit of a hassle, but assuming your earlier purchases weren't final sale, you could always rebuy and return them as the original items.

    2. thanks, Engineer L. I thought the same thing, but unfortunately two of my orders were final sale. I also have two dresses I bought in store at 30 percent off that aren't final sale that I could pull the bait and switch on, but they were actually cheaper in store than they were online, so it doesn't seem worth it. the pricing games continue, blergh!

  4. I've shared links to reviews and IRL pics from myself and other bloggers in this post. I've also just added pics of the Foyer Dress, Field Parka, Coated Leggings, and 'Sammie' boot from J.Crew Factory, which is actually the same as the Madewell Ames boot.
