    1. If it's the alpine turtleneck in navy don't be too sad. I'm taking mine back today - it's stitched weird at the bottom and has a really unflattering poof where the body meets the ribbing at the bottom. The sweater bows out and makes me look like a pudgy pear. You can tell they're trying to hide this in the catalog shot if you look really closely. Too bad I didn't notice before ordering!

    1. Same here. Received three separate J Crew envelopes yesterday and expecting FIVE today. Ordered all kinds of Christmas presents and they are arriving ONE AT A TIME. My UPS person is going to hate me. Makes me look crazy, all of these little packages piling up. Also, an order I placed early Thanksgiving morning has not moved from "Released" status. Certainly I'll be receiving the dreaded "wish we had enough" email shortly. Ugh, why is shopping with J. Crew so difficult?!!!

    2. the multiple packages is so annoying! and when they come in separate packages they're coming from stores and it's a total shot in the dark what the state of your item will be. It's also adding to the time needed for delivery. although I guess I shouldn't complain...on an unrelated note, Gap is now 8-12 business days if you want free shipping which is just ridiculous! I thought 5 was bad for Crew!

    3. Anne, in my area, the Gap is using this really, really crummy delivery service. They throw the package on your porch/steps and run. Had a package go missing for the first time last week. Another time, my package of t-shirts was on the front lawn. I won't have items shipped to my home anymore from Gap. Everyone is looking to cut corners and it is getting ridiculous.

    4. When my husband and I lived in an apartment we had one of the worst delivery services (not ups or fedex) bring a few of our packages. Something I ordered from a clothing store said it had been delivered and I couldn't find it. Later I thought to look out on the balcony and that's where it was! Then my husband had ordered a $1000+ camera and when he didn't see it anywhere I said look on the balcony and it was there too! Unbelievable! Luckily it wasn't damaged and of course I called them to tell them how completely idiotic this was.

  4. My vent, whose brilliant idea was it to stop stocking the basics in stores???? I have lost some weight and would have loved to go to a store and try on some different sizes of Minnies. And I always loved to go and look at the different colors of the Tippis, IRL but those days are gone. Guess, I will be looking at other stores for merino wool sweaters and Minnie type pants.

    1. I think (as I have stated before) that they should offer free ship on these items since they no longer carry them in stores. It's crap to expect us to pay - albeit only $5 but STILL - for shipping when an item is not available for try-ons in-store!

    2. Agreed - I was grateful once last year when I needed a Tippi in a hurry and could run in a buy one on the spot.

JSR - congrats on the weight loss!

    3. cousy - only a true JCA could ever "need" a Tippi. (So says the girl who, between it & the Charley, has 30 of them. Yet I'm sure I will need more.) HA!

    4. OK, so now I am really confused. Placed an on-line order on Monday, 12/1, two items, actually another Tippi, I know another Tippi to add to the collection. I checked the order today and one item, the Tippi got delivered today according to the tracking number. OK, so where did it get shipped from I ask since it could not get from the Distribution Center to Colorado in that short amount of time. The other line is still in Released status. I guess the mystery will be solved when I get home but I thought they did not have Tippis in store or do they in some stores?

    5. There are tippis in the Chicago stores I frequent. Not sure if there is a full color run, but they are there. @JRSConifer

    6. So mystery solved. The Tippi shipped from a store in Colorado hence the fast shipping. I did inquire at my local one and they did have some Tippis but only a very limited color selection, like rcb.shops mentioned. The SA told me that they will no longer be stocking schoolboys they will be online only.

  6. Another vent for the suuuuuper slow shipping. I get that it might take longer to the west coast, but items I ordered on 11/20 still aren't here. Why does it take 3-4 days for JC to get the thing packed up and then another week+ to get to customers?

  7. Has anyone seen any stores carrying Kikis? I've been looking for a pair in the Wet Cobblestone color since Sept, with no luck. My stores carry limited shoe selections so I wondered if they're even stocked in store.

    1. Good morning! I am not sure if they would have your shoe or size, but I have found that the F. St. and Montgomery Mall stores have a decent selection of shoes. I usually have to order off line b/c I wear a size larger than 10, but they seem to offer quite a bit (others may have a different opinion of the selection). I have not been in the B&M lately, so I can't be certain of any type of availability. HTH...

    2. Thank you - I'll check there!

  8. My current complaint...stores that offer free shipping but now add HANDLING fees. WHEN DID THEY START SEPARATING SHIPPING AND HANDLING???? Please, please, OH PLEASE, MR. JCREW, you get enough of my money for shipping that you do not have to add a new handling fee.

  9. The button on my retail Majesty Peacoat popped off today. Luckily it happened in the car, so I have the button. I purchased at the end of the season last year, so this is the first season wearing it -- probably 3rd or 4th time. This is infuriating and unacceptable. I inspected the thread that was used to sew the buttons on and its so cheap, it practically disintegrated in my hand.

  10. What's the deal with the puffer vests? The prices keep changing! I never know when to buy because it goes up and down!

  11. 12/6 - Recvd an email confirmation that my order is on it's way!

It was delivered way back on 11/26.

I also recvd an email a few days ago from customer service to call them about this order, which was odd because there was no explanation or details about why I needed to call it. After I decided it probably wasn't a scam, I felt like I was in trouble for something. I don't know why they didn't just reach out and try me on the phone like they have in the past.

Dear J. Crew. Please don't fall apart in the logistics department each and every holiday.
