Happy New Year's Eve! {celebrating with J.Crew?}

Happy New Year J.Crew Aficionadas!

I want to take a moment to wish everyone a wonderful new year! {yey!} I look forward to celebrating the up-coming 2014 J.Crew collections with you all. :)

As usual, this post is to find out what everyone is planning to wear tonight. I know I have mentioned this before, but I also really enjoy these posts. I find it interesting to see how other Aficionadas and Aficionados style certain pieces, providing me wonderful ideas for future outfits. :) So for this post, what we are planning to wear during New Years Eve and/or New Years Day? :)

As for me, I plan on wearing J.Crew's Zig Zag Sequin Tee, Chambray Button-Down Shirt, Pixie Pants, and Lula Glitter Ballet Flats. That or a long sleeve cotton tee, fleece jacket, and J.Crew's signature leggings. I have a sneaky feeling it is going to be the latter. ;)

What are you planning to wear this New Year (Eve or Day)? Are you planning to go "head to toe" J.Crew or parts J.Crew?

  1. Happy New Year, Alexis and all the JCAs!

I will probably be wearing my pixie jodhpur pants and the mini dot Madewell popover.

  2. Probably my beaded chambray shirt with black minnies and black suede darby loafers. It's too cold for just a chambray so I'm going to have to figure out a layer too.

  3. Due to the massive amount of food I have eaten during the time from Thanksgiving throughout Christmas, I thank the powers that be at J. Crew for inventing Pixie Pants. Due to the lovely stretch I will be wearing a pair..along with that the three-quarter sleeve gray Peter Pan Collar shirt and my Ivanka Trump, silver metallic pointy-toed pumps. The hair will be in it's usual messy bun because after work, I will have no time to fuss and primp with my hair. Don't forget--at Midnight, to open your front door and let 2013 exit and welcome in 2014 (a tradition in my family passed down from my grandmother--it may be something she brought across the pond from Ireland) Have a great New Year!

    1. Catherine, my husband is British and his family does the same thing with the front door on New Year's!

Tonight wearing black minnies, cashmere turtleneck and glitter ballets. Still working on my jools. We will have below-zero wind chills and snow here.

Wishing all JCAs a Happy, Healthy New Year.

    2. I've never heard of this before but I'm going to try it!

I'm staying in so have no idea but it will end with skinny sweatpants, shearling moccasins, a waffle henley and grey Factory open cardigan. Hey, the night might start with that as well.

  5. I will probably continue to wear the flannel lined chinos from 2004 that I have on right now... it's too cold for anything else! Happy New Year!

  6. It's going to be very cold here, -20 tonight but I'm going to wear the gold stripe mini anyway. I'll wear my fleece lined tights to stay warm and a black tippi sweater.

  7. Happy New Year Everyone! We are staying home to celebrate this year, so I plan on wearing something casual and comfy. More than likely it will be a pair of jeans, and the perfect chambray ex-boyfriend shirt in harvest wash from Madewell. I'll throw on a pair of black flip-flops when it's time to head out to the backyard to watch the fireworks displays, and possibly my boyfriend fatigue jacket if it's chilly out then. :)

  8. DH is sick so we won't be going to my friend's Great Gatsby-themed NYE party. I will wear jeans with my 2010 drapey sequin tee in the pinky-gold color and matching Marjorie ballet slippers in metallic sherbet. Happy New Year, everyone!

P.S. I don't do grapes or black-eyed peas for new year's prosperity--my tradition/superstition is taking all the past year's stray pennies to CoinStar on NYD!

  11. Happy new year Alexis & JCAs! DH and I have terrible colds, so we're staying in this year. I had to be a bit festive though, so I'm wearing my light gray sequin sweatshirt from last year (? year before?) which I forgot how much I loved. Paired with some jeans and slippers !

  12. Just a quiet dinner out for me. I am wearing jeans, black TB Revas, an alpaca blend tan and black stripe Gap sweater as it is cold. The only jcrew I am wearing is the crystal and stone row necklace in fog gray. I ordered it awhile back when it was included in the extra 50% off selection. It is suprisingly versatile and I have worn it a lot. Happy new year everyone!
