Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SUMMER sale, or to see some new SUMMER arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. I am incredibly excited by the new "Vibrant Flame" Hutton trouser in Raw silk so I need to get to a location asap this weekend and try them on. All I can say is wow!

  2. Philly JCrew was offering 30% off all suiting, excluding dresses.

Definitely will be hitting up JCrew this weekend, but I'm dying for a coupon code or promotion! :(

  3. Definitely liking some of the new arrivals and love the Caspian print (which looks almost exactly like last year's Casbah print). Might go check out a few things...and yes to a coupon code please!

  4. OT but I noticed they took 'Jenna' off some item title's and desc. Ex: Jenna merino cardigan. No longer called that and the desc starts with 'We...' instead of 'Jenna...' Thought it was interesting : ) I'm new and decided to take the plunge! Been lurking this site for years.

    1. Funny thing about the Jenna cardigan. I've tried it on in my usual sweater size and it's not fitted. The arms are rather baggy. Ironic given the description. I tried it on in Heather Silver and Heather Flax. Didn't love the colors enough to reorder a size down.

The blog reviews for the original Jenna (the crewneck one) reported that it was fitted.

    2. I'm new too! :] But from what I gather from this blog is that Jenna is not as popular as she once was with customers...so maybe they're trying to gradually move away from Jenna as the "face" of J. Crew. Which might also explain why they no longer have Jenna's Picks but there are several emails from Gayle.

    3. I wondered if 'her' items weren't selling as well and bec people possibly being over her hype. I wondered that too about her Picks. Ugh but having her name on the cardigan made it easier for me to stalk daily haha. Waiting for it to go on sale so I can scoop up a couple.

  6. Yes jb38, I noticed that on the Jenna bracelet, which is now just the "Classic Link Bracelet." So weird!

  7. Off topic again, but did anyone else catch 30 Rock last night? I'm pretty sure Elizabeth Banks' character was wearing the Kendall dress in shaker red!

  10. Hi. I visited the Factory Store yesterday and posted some info and pics on my blog at http://beachchicstyle.blogspot.com.

  11. I went into the store and suiting is 30% off.

  12. No but I'm guessing they are holding off running a promo until Memorial Day wknd.

  13. No, traveling overseas...I haven't been to a store in 2 months!(I remember I used to go a couple of times a week in 2005-2007! and at least once a month up until about a year ago.)

  14. I went this afternoon and I loved a number of items. I could buy a TON but the prices hold me back. I returned $180 and bought $250 :(

I love and bought the Ring-around eyelet top in both colors. It's a bit boxy & short but I went a size up and I don't like tops too tight. I figure with a pencil skirt or tight jeans.

I love but I didn't buy the Lace placket tee. It's super cute and I liked the fit but not around the shoulders or underarms. I tried on 3 tops and they all felt wierd - anyone else have a better experience?

My store also had the Whisper linen cardigan & Sailor shorts and I loved them both.

I'm going to hold off on wearing them unless i need to just in case a promo comes out. :)

  15. On my way right now to pick up the Whisper Linen Cardi in jade! We'll have to see if I run into any sales!

  16. I sought and I found-the Lace Strip Shell in bright flame and white. They were on sale for $24.99. Cute and versatile as to why I picked up two!

  17. I picked up the schoolboy blazer in herringbone in blue and olympia sandals on sale in store, as well as the sequin anchor tank and crystal brulee bracelet!

    1. How much was the herringbone blazer?

    2. It was marked down to $109.99. The student discount was applied as well so it was about $95.

  18. I was in on Tuesday and lucked up on some garment-dyed ankle denim pants on the sale rack. Apparently, this is the only color on sale. I can't wait until the additional 30% off comes back.

  19. In-store price notes in this post. I.e. the cropped fray jacket, big shot dot circle skirt & postage stamp mini in big apple are $49.99. In-store. Online price cuts at the top of this post.

  20. The Cafe capri in fresco floral is $99 in stores. Natick had 2 of the size 4 in stock yesterday.

  21. Went to B&M store tues in search of a dress. I have a wedding next fri and am 6mo post partum and sooo don't want to invest into anything right now until my body some what settles back into place : ) I wound up getting a really cute beach dress (not strapless woohoo!) in a really pretty pale blue color (not online yet, $150). I plan to wear w my four strand lady pearl necklace. I also went to Crewlet yesterday. Got the eyelet lace cami in afr violet. I sized down from my usual top size. Got the wilma bead necklace. Which I love. Can't wait to wear dressed up for party, to work, or with tee & jeans! Got the 'natasha' ruffle collar polka dot cami (also sized down). I know i'm the minority but I prefer the poly version. I need to be able to machine wash due to my two little messy chickens : )

  22. I love the new items in store...went to B&M last night and picked up a neon pink pencil skirt, and the blue&white whisper gauze peasant blouse...Love,love the peasant blouse...think it will be great with white jeans for a casual weekend look. Enjoy your weekend...Happy Shopping! :)

  23. I went in and only had a few moments to try things on. Lots looked cute but really expensive. I wish they'd do a FP promo. Anyway, I tried on the multi-color stripe long sleeve silk blouse. I really loved it in the catalog, but not so sure IRL. It runs smaller than other similarly shaped tops (Talitha? can't remember the name). I still took my smaller top size and sizing up may have been better. Just meh on me. I also tried on the anchor sweatshirt and LOVE it! But not for $80 or $90. Crazy. The jewelry is amazing!!!

  24. I need a sale to convince me to actually purchase all the stuff in my cart right now!

  25. Factory store in Niagara Falls was insanely busy today! Picked up the stripe boatneck sweater in the orange (not online), and the short-sleeve anchor cardigan - so cute with all those tiny orange anchors. Promo prices on everything in the store, it seemed.

  26. I went to the Madison Ave & 44th St Store in NYC hoping to find the contrast linen baseball tee on sale and there weren't any there. I called customer service to see if they could locate any in another store in the city and, after checking, they said that after the item went on sale all stores had sent them back to the warehouse to be sold online. Had anyone heard of this happening before? I really hope it will go down to $19.99 online...

    1. Kat, I've heard of it happening, but you might call your local store and have someone do a store search for you. They can pull up the inventory for all the stores and tell you who is your best bet to call. I call my store fairly often and provide the style number I am looking for; they are usually super about helping. Did that today and bought the sovereign paisley capris via a send sale once I saw they had hit $49.99 in-store (thanks to Gigi's awesome list on her blog).

  27. I went to both the Northlake and Southpark Mall stores in Charlotte today. No % off but there should've been as both sale sections were packed full!

New arrival options were pretty "meh..." at both stores. I did end up loving and buying the drapey striped tee in the mint/orange combo. I also got a replacement Poppy King lipstick for when mine runs out...can't beat $7.99!

I have a ton of fitting room reviews coming up; you can see the first post that includes the Lucille lace dress here.

  28. I got the Hilary dress on sale, for $30 less than it is online at J Crew at Keystone (IN). I went to see the big-shot dot dress, but wasn't impressed. No additional sale at J Crew, but Madewell was having an additional 20% off sale in the same mall.

  29. I'm afraid to go to the store! I like alot I see in the new selections and have the Porcelain paisley skirt on the way. I have a full cart online just hoping for a Memorial Day sale. I want the cafe capri in yellow (and think it will go on sale, really how many people want yellow pants?), the new elephant necklace, the raj paisley skirt or the teal factory one and the teal teired dot tank and I'm eyeing the green Edie attache.....someone stop me! I'll go to the store next week and see things in person and hope for a MM Day sale!

    1. I bought those yellow capris but I think they are going back. They pair well with neutrals like grey, brown and navy but I just don't think I'm brave enough to rock them. I prefer a golden or mustard yellow but these are bright yellow, not neon, but almost!

  30. Off topic but I've bought an obscene amount of Lands End Canvas this weekend and I hope the quality is as good as the reviews say. The $25. shirts and pants has led me into buying both plus sweaters. I'm just so burned out on JC's quality. Then, in that video, Mickey remarks that he's concerned that the $350. top is too high a price point. Is this the first time it occurred to him?

My first order was for $240. and I got TEN items including three shirts, four pants, a cardigan and a sweatshirt. That's one JC cashmere sweater. Then I placed another order for two shirts, two pants and three sweaters, for $170 and free shipping. Then three short sleeve oxford tops for $30. Twenty(!) items for $440. I will still go to JC for a cute tweed jacket or the cashmere cardigan in an amazing heathered color but the crazy prices and bad quality need to stop.

Sorry for the rant, I'll be checking the store today and picking up a catalog!

    1. Seconded -- I just purchased 4 LE Canvas sweaters and a pair of shoes for $58 total shipped, and IMO the quality is superior to that of current J.Crew. The weekly "classifieds" sale section has some amazing deals.

  31. Just had them do a search for the chambray top and it will be on its way to me soon. SUper excited about this top! I was hoping for a popback this morning but I never really saw a restock on the sale site.

  32. I went to both B & M and Factory. I wanted to see the porcelain skirt - no luck. Nothing else new grabbed my attention, sale section empty. AT Factory - stuck pay dirt and had 20% off coupon. Big dot skirt for daughter 19.58, Bellflower tweed skirt 27.99, purple Jackie cardigan - 27.72, Vintage Cotton black and off white stripe v neck tee - 19.99, Black Thandie - $23.76, Navy Skimmers $27.99 and something not online - a red white and navy blue striped Thandie - super cute $26.16 - That's 7 items for $155.

  33. Any comments on this years summer weight chino shorts or other chino shorts? I pulled out last years summer weight and they are sort of an unflattering cut :/ looking for new shorts.

  34. suits were 30% off and I bought a beautiful, navy suit (from the super 120 collection)! The weird part was the sizing (ended up w/ size 6 pants and size 2 jacket). I am normally top heavy, so I'm surprised with the sizing, but they will tailor the pants for free even though it was on sale! <3 that perk!

  35. The Jules Waterfloral Dress is $149 in stores if anyone is looking for it!
