Can I just say how much I love looking at the mannequins of their upcoming collections with Mickey!?! I also found his lines of "hello?" and "...can we change the name of sweatshirts and sweatpants?" pretty funny. Bottom line: this story on J.Crew looks awesome.

When I saw them I thought that whoever makes the desicions on what should or shouldn't go into production sometimes gets it so right. I love my Painted Rope skirt but I think that the dress and jacket are just downright awful. There's a reason why they are one-of-a-kind. Ugh
I love him and hate him at the same time! What I love is that he is so New York, such a "garmento" ..... and it looks like he works hard.

ReplyDeleteI'm not arguing or being confrontational, just a thought...if Mickey Drexler publicly states the quality of their merchandise has declined, how would their sales be impacted? Negatively. No one does that, it wouldn't be a smart move. Hopefully they're working to improve quality but hoping they'll state it publicly will hopefully never happen; it would be a disaster for the company.
