Finally! Extra 30% off J.Crew's Spring Sale

"Thanks!" to many of you, including lizzi43 (in this post), as well as Sarah, Karen, and Irina, who shared the following promotion from J.Crew.

J.Crew is offering customers to take an additional 30% off all sale items (no min) with promo code LOVEIT. This offer expires Monday, May 28, 2012. The fine print includes:
*Offer valid at jcrew.com only. Offer is not valid at J.Crew retail or J.Crew Factory stores. Offer does not apply to previous purchases or to the purchase of gift cards. Offer valid in the U.S. and Canada only. 30% off discount applies to J.Crew sale and Factory sale online items only. Offer valid through Monday, May 28, 2012, 11:59pm ET. Savings are applied at checkout with code LOVEIT. Offer not valid on phone orders. Cannot be combined with any other promotion. Limit one promotional code per order. Details of offer are subject to change.
It has been awhile since J.Crew's last promotion so it is great to see a code like this to surface at J.Crew... yey! Too bad it doesn't apply to J.Crew retail B&M stores. But we will take what we can get!

Will you be checking out the Sale section? Are there any items you are hoping to see or to get?

  1. Finally! Of course the one item I really wanted disappeared when I was checking out. Let the early morning stalking commence :) Don't forget there is 7% cash back from Shopathome. I Also noticed there is a mention if you sign up for emails you get 10% off + free ship. I'm testing it out on an old email acct will let you know if it works!

  2. Of course, the Scoop neck top in Anchors Aweigh 82583, which was on promo yesterday for $100 is now back to full price of $135. I chatted with the online help desk and she was not even aware of the loveit code when I asked....said it expired 3/18! Not much I can do except wait for this top to actually go on sale and hope there's another code when it does go! Boo! May get a couple other items, though!

    1. I was so disappointed too when I saw this top went back to full price. That was one of the tops I really want. Go figure, J. Crew always does that to me!

    2. I was up late studying and happened to check site while the anchor scoopneck was still 100 bucks and promo had gone into effect...so I got it. It's so sneaky of them to move it back to regular price!

    3. Ditto for the linen Cafe Trousers in Festival Green -- on sale last week, back to full price just in time for the 30% off promo. Disappointed!!

  3. I had some Factory sale items in my cart, the promo code also applied to them!

  4. And of course I freaking placed a sale order yesterday. I may have to pull the ole "But I'm a loyal customer with a J.Crew card!" bit to see if they'll take the 30% off :)

    2. I did the same thing. How do you cancel? Do you have to call? Can I do a partial cancel?

    3. Just did a chat and my order was released soon after I place it yesterday so too late to cancel.

  5. The Promo-Priced items were switched up again this morning, so I've updated the list. You can see it here. :)

  8. I just placed an order over the weekend for some items including sale items from the Factory - this was a momentary "d'oh!" for me. However, looks like J.Crew significantly raised the price of a bunch of Factory stuff from last weekend so that worked out for me!

  9. I was so excited to see the promo! I snagged the Foulard capris in petite length for $56. Also picked up a one piece bathing suit (w/ padding! - a rarity in Crew suits) for $50. I've had the suit in my cart for over a month but wasn't going bite until a promo.

  10. Tempted by the heart tippi... but I don't think I need it. Must resist!

  11. Love that it's not final sale too...had a number of crewcuts items in my shopping cart for DD and finally pulled the trigger. Yay!

  12. Strange how yesterday there were items in the sale section in full size runs and today they are gone. And guess what, they're back to regular price.

Unimpressed with J.Crew today. Passing on the unwanted leftovers i the sale section. Off to shop at Endless.com.

  13. I got the Linen slicker and the green Talitha blouse. I am also going to get the Frances in lifesaver print but I have one on hold in store and I am hoping that it has been further marked down.

  14. Y'all can probably thank me for this promo...J.Crew knew it was my birthday and wanted to shower me with love :) hehe.

I ended up getting the Hilary dress in yellow. LOVE the shape of this dress and can't wait to see what the yellow looks like (I was only able to try it on in the blue.)

btw, don't forget that you can stick a ride-along bathing suit in your cart to get free shipping if you aren't getting $175 worth of merch.

  16. I ordered the Cece Leather Flats and the Caribbean Tweed Pencil Skirt!

  17. I was going to get the winterlude blazer, but it is marked final sale. I tried two different CS reps and they both said that certain selective items are still final sale even though "final sale" switched over to "spring sale" awhile ago. Kind of annoyed, because they never had this in my size in stores (size 14) over the winter to try on.

  18. the 30% off isn't working for me! I have these items in my cart: 'Nubuck flip-flops
83134" and "Indian cotton shirt in Ashcroft plaid
84166". the Indian cotton shirt is IN the sale items area but I see *no* redline price for it. In my cart i apply the code and it only marks down like $10. It should be more like $30! What's up with that?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Interface7: Sometimes only certain colors of an item will be marked down, and once that color is sold out, the non-sale color still remains in the sale section. That is more than likely what has happened with the Indian cotton shirt in Ashcroft plaid. The Nubuck flip-flops in Dark Khaki are at promo-price right now, and do receive the 30% off, which you should see applied when you use the LOVEIT promo.

  19. I haven't ordered in about six months, but this one got me. I got about $250 worth of stuff--striped cashmere boatneck, Tillary purse, striped hoodie and a bunch of tees and sweats for my boy. So glad none of it is final sale!

    ReplyDelete
  20. Yay! I've been waiting for a promo to snag the Jacquard dot pencil skirt. Has anyone tried this?

    ReplyDelete
  21. Just sent this to J. Crew: I looked in the sale items for men's shirts and the following item IS present in the list, but there is no redline price for it.

Indian cotton shirt in Ashcroft plaid
    84166

So, when I add it to my cart with other things and apply the LOVEIT promo code it doesn't mark anything off of the price.

Can this be fixed? What *is* the sale price of this item?

  22. Has anyone seen the Factory perfect shirt in summer plaid IRL? Does anyone know if it is the same as Blair of Atlantic-Pacific is wearing here: http://atlantic-pacific.blogspot.com/2011/05/wink.html ?

  24. I entered into the Live Chat about the Indian cotton shirt mentioned above and "Jennifer O" helped me out. I submitted my order and she's going to credit the 30% off to my credit card once my order has shipped since that shirt isn't suppose to be on sale, but it was on the sale items list in error. =) yay!

  28. AppGal, thanks for the tip about adding a swimsuit to get free shipping. I just did a mock checkout and it totally worked.

Speaking of swim, has anyone tried the ruched lido swing top? How's the fit?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Fit was not good on me (34D). I tried it in 3 sizes (XS, S, and D-cup in either XS or S) and I wouldn't wear any of them out of the house. It's a bit revealing. In the larger size, there was too much room and I felt like I was going to fall out of it. Sizing down didn't help, as it just pushed out what I had.

  29. Already picked up the Evie silk chiffon dress in gallery green. I'm in their "extended size" range, so I did not want to wait very long to buy. I have fresh memories of having an order canceled.

  32. I was able to purchase the Anchors Away Blouse last night for 30% off sale price (I'm in Vancouver, so sale was on about 9.30pm my time). It's a shame that J.Crew put it back to full price today. Hmmmm.

  34. Edie purse in the Italian calf hair for me! I love that entire line so I am glad I could take advantage of the sale for this handbag. I also snagged the garden floral tunic and the small crystal brulee bracelet in Vibrant...great sale and I hope they add more items!

  35. That is so shady of J.Crew to pull the Anchors Away Blouse and Maritime anchor dress out of sale.

I'm surprised to see the Tessa top is safari cat in the sale section. Didn't it just come out? I saw it in person and was not impressed. Such a let down.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I was able to order the maritime anchor dress as well as a pair of factory shorts last night when the 30% off promo just started. As many of you have noted, the anchor dress is back to regular price today, and lots of factory items went up in price too. Glad I was able to beat J Crew at their game this time.

  37. I stopped at my factory store this afternoon to pick up a few extra Perfect-Fit Tees for summer (I actually prefer the factory Perfect Fit Tees to the Retail ones - I think they are better made).

Factory is having some great Memorial Day promos, too. Clearance is 30% off, regular price tees are 50% off, and regular price shorts/skirts/perfect shirts are 40% off. The whole store is at least 30%, in fact, and the place was nuts with employees "doing stock" as the manager said, which I suspect means more new arrivals too.

If you are a fan of factory items and live close to a store, it might be worth a trip!

  38. I picked up the Edie attache in Italian calf hair. I could never justify it at $700.00....but at $279.99....sounds like a steal! Also got another tippi in neon azalea and the new elephant necklace. May purchase more....trying to be good! Ha! Also I just received the Porcelain Paisley No. 2 skirt...it may be one of my favorite Crew purchases ever! It's gorgeous!

  39. I was wondering if anyone can offer a review/comments about the classic ballet flats, I'm contemplating getting a pair in gray with this sale. I'm a true 7 and was thinking about getting a pair in size 7.

    1. Hi Joelle, My PS recommended I size down 1/2 a size in the classic Ballet flats. She was right for me. Though it is not FS so u could return if need be or just add a heel pad if your heel pops out :) good luck!

  40. Went to my B&M this afternoon & got the Caribbean tweed pencil skirt & they honored the online sale price + 30% off...but marked it as final sale. Is that a new policy or always the case to mark as FS?

They are not worth full price. I had the navy. Didn't like combo with brown.I am always a nine in shoes. these were alittle tight on the toes and I don't have a wide foot . I felt like I do about all J crew shoes...they are way over priced...so on sale maybe just maybe I would try the red myself . I think they will make it to even a lower price in a mth...like all the sandels will. The patent ones are really cheap looking

    1. Wendy, in your opinion, what didn't you like about it? At the seams, did the stripes match? Is it a quality issue for the price? I'm on the fence with this jacket. Do you think it would be worth it at the less 30% price. Thank you.

      Delete
    2. Cmg

Don't get me wrong, it is a very well made coat. The stripes match up, the wool is good quality, and it is striking. It would be worth it with the additional 30% off. For me, I could only conjure up one outfit to wear with it, so the cost per wear would not be worth it. You know how some pieces make you smile and just 'speak' to you? Well, this piece did not make me do that. I hope that helps.

  54. Does anyone have the linen cable knit sweater? I'm wondering how the sizing runs and also how 'green' the Caribbean green is? I have one of the vintage tees in Caribbean green and it's more subdued/aqua-ish but the linen sweater looks bright green...

    Replies
    1. Hi Erika, I have & love this green sweater in the v-neck style. It is sheer but a nude bra works fine w this color which IMHO is true Caribbean green, like a kelly green almost. Not yellow/blue or aqua. Just a beautiful bright clear green. Very becoming. I found it tts and is meant to be a loose fit. I am usually a small in JC sweaters and that was perfecto :o). HTH!

      Delete
    2. I tried it on in the Cerise in an S (my usual J.Crew sweater size) and I'm exchanging it for an XS. So I think it runs a little big. The shoulder seam was sitting off my shoulders.

  55. Also, does anyone know the difference between brilliant purple and concord grape? I LOVED the concord grape (sadly most of the items in this color are sold out) and I'm wondering if the brilliant purple is the same bluish-purple (it looks more blue on the screen, but sometimes it seems like purple shows up blue on the computer).

    Thanks a bunch!

  57. Hi ladies! Just wanted to note that the seersucker schoolboy blazer is marked down to $100 in-store, although they will not apply the online 30% off promotion. FYI, as of a few hours ago, there is one size 0 at Tysons Galleria, VA, and one size 0 and one size 2 at Chevy Chase DC (which I just returned b/c I picked one up at the sale price at Tysons! Oh the games we play!).

  59. Regarding Erika's question about the linen knit sweater, I agree with E.D.C...at least on me, the sweater was TTS. I wear a large and although I could have gotten a M b/c of (wishful) weightloss, the L fit fine. And I think that the color is more of a kelly green but pretty whatever you choose to call it. BUT, be very very careful as the sweater will snag on anything!
