  2. Nice, I have an order with two swimsuits coming tomorrow, so now I will have to reorder.

Savvy shopper- I normally wear a size 4 or 6 in one piece swimsuits but they were huge. For bikinis I am a 32c and normally in other suits a size small/medium in bottoms. In jcrew the 32c top was to large and I will need a x-small in bottoms
    I am 31-26-35 and weigh 109

  3. I bought the hot dot halter and bikini bottoms, which I'm a touch nervous about sizing wise. I'm usually a 2 in j.crew bottoms, so I ordered an x-small, but I'm scared it'll be teeny tiny! Can you return bottoms? What's the scoop with them?

    1. I had the same questions on sizing so I bought two sets of the Hot Dot Bikini, one in my usual sizes and one in the size above just in case. I had no issue returning the size that didn't fit (the larger size in my case). They took both the top and bottom back with no issue.

  4. The bottoms from last year ran huge. I have always been a medium but the mediums were too big; I was shocked. I tried several styles. I would like to know if they have fixed this issue!

Oh, and unless you're a really big D cup or a double D, don't bother with the D cup tops. They are GIGANTIC.

Yes you can return bottoms as long as everything is intact

    1. You should, I LOVE it but will not order it because my husband is Army and I can just see me wearing it at the post swimming pool. lol Not that I should car but oh well

    2. You should get it anyway, who cares what the other Army spouses think!
I pulled the trigger on the two-piece, hope it gets here soon and that it fits.

  9. Considering what happened with sizing for last year's swimsuits, I'm gun-shy this year. I'll be interested to hear from others how swim sizing is running this season.

As an aside, the styles I like don't offer even the lightest bit of padding in the tops. Lining isn't what I need. I just can't bear walking around with my 'headlights' on -- sorry if TMI -- but jeez! Even Old Navy has a very lightweight insert in their bikini tops that covers just enough to avoid embarrassment.

If I wore, say, a Jersey Lomellina swimsuit at my community pool, all the dads would gape and gawk, and all the soccer moms in their Lands' End skirted maillots would fret, fuss and gossip nonstop. LMAO! But it's true.

  10. During the last full price promo I ordered a couple two piece suits (Seersucker ruffle underwire and Striped underwire) and I found that they definitely ran large.
I usually wear size 6 pants/29 jeans and the medium bottoms were huge (both bikini and hipster styles).
As far as the top I typically wear either a 34D or 34C, depending on the style. The cups did seem to run a bit big, but the 34C was a pretty good fit in the cup. The band, however, was HUGE. I had to gather several inches of the band in order for it to stay up. I might try a 32 now that they are on sale again. Sorry for rambling, but in conclusion, I would recommend sizing down! :)

  11. OK, so it sounds like the swimwear is running large again this season -- that's exactly what happened to me last year, Natalie. The bands on bikini tops were too loose, on some of the halter styles the cups were enormous, and overall the bottoms were way too big / baggy. Good to know! Tx.

  13. Lol Elaine!
I did the chat now and she told me they fixed the sizing this year and that'll everything runs tts now. I listened to her and placed a huge order. I am going to be so annoyed if I have to return it all.

  14. I also ordered a bikini top during the last promo in my normal bra size. It was gigantic!!! I had to go down 2 band sizes.

    1. I wish I could go down a band size but can't because 32 is the smallest, if the B cup works i will just take it to a seamstress

  15. Can anyone comment about sizing of tulle one-piece suits?

    1. I bought the tulle Draped bandeau one piece in a size 6 and it was huge in me. All of my Trina Turk, seafolly and other one pieces are size 6 and fit great. My measurements are 31-26-35

    2. The tulle pieces run large. Size down. I usually pick up a size XS in bottoms and had to get an XXS instead (I feel sorry for those who really are size XXS). The tops weren't so bad but I'd still go a size down (the bands are kinda large). HTH

  16. I absolutely adore their Lomellina jersey line. The fit is so precise that it almost looks made specifically for me. My perfect size is a size S or 32C in tops and an XS in bottoms. Depending on the cut, I can even harzard a 34C in tops and a XXS in bottoms but never a S in bottoms, they're just too generous with the cut. The one 1-piece that I own from this line is a size 4. HTH someone.

  17. I tried to leave a comment yesterday but it didn't work. I was super-annoyed that the string hipster was sold-out in so many colors/sizes. I wanted to order the string bikini top and hipster in black that I have missed on last year. I took a gamble and ordered the top yesterday (thanks to free shipping) while it was available in my size hoping that the bottom would pop back before the end of the promo. It did pop back this morning in all the colors so I ordered a XS since I have the modern red from last year and it was huge in my usual S. Happy that I could order it but wouldn't be easier for everybody if the all the stock was available at the same time. What a waste of time and packaging!

  18. Since the sizing is so off, I ordered two sizes each of the top and bottom, in the delicious apple print. I just think that it is SO cute! I like being able to try it with no risk. The sad part is I didn't even order my normal bra size in the top... I know it would be huge. Their Ds are more like double Ds.

The Lomellina stuff is amazing but it shows everything... like, you can see goosebumps through the material. The one pieces are more forgiving and the top part usually has some lining. My favorite J.Crew suit is a one piece lomellina in a retro style that has the longer part almost like a skirt with ruching. So cute.

  19. I bought a swim suit last year and it was wearable, but definitely too big. I normally wear a 32dd bra, but the 32d top was too big. It is wearable, just not very flattering. My chest just sort of...sinks into it. lol I think it's strange that the tops run large if they are in bra sizes...normally thats very standardized. I bought medium bottoms which were a bit too big, but I am between a small and medium anyway, so I am not sure if it's because they run large, or I just picked the wrong size. I ordered the tulle 2 piece in small bottoms and a 32c top this year, I hope it works!
