J.Crew Updates Website with New Arrivals!

"Thanks!" to many of you, including J.CrewJD (in this post), Ema (in this post), as well as Maryeb, who let us know that J.Crew had a mini update to its website today (click here to view online).

There are some new arrivals for men (click here) & women (click here). {wahoo!} It looks like Crewcuts (click here) has been updated, but not the J.Crew Collection (click here).

Honestly, I did not even catch this mini-update of new arrivals online. Oh well! As for the new arrivals...

Of course my top two picks involve polka dots. I am a sucker for them! The Retro-Dot Tunic (Item 72686; $65.00) is gorgeous! Such an airy piece with fantastic details like the collar and belt.

The Elinor Dress in Polka Dot (Item 74049; $148.00) looks perfect for any occasion. Wear it alone for a night on the town. Wear it with a denim jacket for a Saturday afternoon at a flea market. Loves it!

What items are you most excited about and why? Which items are you surprised (or not surprised) to see? Which items did you hope would be included? Were you expecting a bigger roll-out today? Also, did you receive the latest catalog? :)

  2. I am thrilled they brought back the linen cable knit v neck sweaters. I have one in citron and one in a deep kelly green, and they are wonderful preppy pieces that I adore pairing with shorts and sandals. They aren't super heavy and as long as it isn't super hot outside, they can be worn to help keep the sun off your skin.

  3. OT, but I was happy to see all of the double-serge pencil skirts go down to $99. Sadly the color and size I want are still unavailable. :( Hoping for a promo this weekend, either extra 30% off sale or 30% off FP with free ship, no min. Who's with me? :P

  4. Did you see the button placement on the Trudy peacoat? Hel-lo!

My verification is sessas: see-sass indeed!

  5. Oh my gosh, and the blue paisley on the paisley capris are creating a mustache effect in the you-know-where area! Good lord.

  6. I did a post today reviewing some of the polka dot items HERE

  7. A few cute things... but I am still holding strong. Will not buy FP! Or I should rephrase - nothing that I must have at the current prices.

  8. I always love to see new arrivals, but there really isn't anything that is a 'must-have' for me right now. I do agree that the polka-dot pieces are cute, though. I look forward to seeing them in person...hopefully they won't disappoint IRL. . :)

  9. The denim dress is kind of cute and fun but the exposed back zipper - argh! I will not go there no matter what. Besides looking like a cheap shortcut IMO, wouldn't the metal zippers damage upholstery, like leather car seats or sofas? Please get over that awful trend.

  10. I love the Elinor dress and am having a hard time restraining myself to not buy it now. I cannot resist a good polka dot dress!

xoxo: the exposed zipper is also a hazard when washing. I'm convinced the one on the Jenny dress from last summer is the reason my perfect shirt in warm jade developed a rip and hole in it after washing. Now, it WAS my fault for washing them together, but still...I don't want to have to wash items (esp. a knit dress) with exposed zippers in a separate load!

  11. I still only want the same 3 or 4 things from the last spring rollout -- the striped blouson dress, the gardenshade floral Natasha top, the Nolita denim jacket in Great Lakes wash and a pencil skirt or two. I'm just not feeling much of the other stuff. Yet...

  12. I do have a wish list, or imaginary shopping-cart I should say as JCrew still does not have a wish list feature, but it is really basic: I like the nice colors of the cotton pencil skirts and Dina I'm with you, I like those linen cable v-neck sweaters. I am loving the idea of some simple skirt and sweater options for spring.

I'll go to the review post on this, but my Brompton mini-hobo in vibrant coral just arrived and it is a completely different color from the vibrant coral Valentina pump. This vibrant coral is more of a true orange-red coral, like from the ocean, there is very little pink as an undertone... I'm taking pictures for a thorough review tomorrow on my blog.
I am keeping it as it looks incredible with navy, and it's the perfect size as well.

  13. Can they please re-stock the Talitha blouse in all sizes/colors already??? I refuse to sit around waiting to see if a back-ordered item will ship or sell out in the next 6 weeks. People (as in "I") want those blouses, J.Crew, it's your job to make more. *Pouts*

  14. Elaine, I'm with you. It's nice to dream. :D

  15. AppGal, that's really unfortunate about your perfect shirt. I never thought of the laundry issues but I can see how it could cause problems. I just don't see anything good about an exposed zipper. :^(

  16. Noticed that the Natasha top # 83329 was called watercolor floral has been changed to gardenshade floral like the dress. At least they did not raise the price.

  17. No wish list for me. I've been through the spring look book online and the one that came with my rewards card and honestly the only thing I wanted was the Tillary tote. Checked that off my list already.

I'm with J.CrewJD on the paisley capris, I think they're cute but I wouldn't wear them. And Pathos, you made me laugh so hard with your comment about them!

  18. I ordered the Trudy peacoat (even w/the questionable button placement). They've been doing such a nice job with their jackets, I just have to see if it will work for me.

Also, the Matinee Trench has finally come down in price (navy has been fp for a long, long time).

  19. LIke many of you, I think the linen v-neck is nice. I like the white and green for spring/summer. I also love the VIV leather flat in yellow! I like the green too but not sure if I would wear very much. I purchased the fanfare jacket (#64544) about 2 weeks ago. I love it.

Other than that, not wishing for much.

  20. Love the Talitha blouse. I got it in wreath and navy before Christmas. I get compliments every time I wear them. Just ordered the new arrival color: bohemian red. Can't wait! Definitely worth $110. I'm eyeing the telegraph skirt in royal violet. Does anyone have feedback on the telegraph skirt?

  21. AdAstra, I have the telegraph skirt in black and I love it. It is true to size and a very nice length, especially if you are tall. I like that I can sit at my desk and not show any thigh, ha.
