  1. 25% off & free shipping on orders of $150+ with the code PRESENTS.

Did anyone else find this to be underwhelming considering the recent string of promos?

I 'love' the vintage thermal tees, I just posted about here. :)

  3. This promo is pretty lame considering a couple things... The recent promos they have already done AND the promos other retailers are doing

  5. Lots of items at promo-price that receive the additional 25% off and I've listed the majority of them in this post.

  6. I did shop b/c the items I just rcvd from the last promo didn't work out (my way of justifying-haha.)

I picked up the pink stripe thermal, the Seine stripe top, and the Cambon sweater. I admit, I feel like a chump for buying the Cambon knowing that one could get it in store at a lower price with an additional 30% recently. :< (I need an in store personal shopper just for price discrepancies.)

Oh -and I am trying the Factory version of the long puffer. Another JCA-er is encouraging me :> The Wintress didn't wow me, and so, let's see about this one. Wish it were cheaper so to make me feel really psyched about switching to a Factory version tho.

  7. Can I just mention here that I had an amazing experience with Madewell and their customer service? I had placed an order for the Prairie boots, only to find that they sent me the wrong size. I also though got another package with two little gold carryalls, a $20 giftcard, and a note saying thank you for being a valued Madewell customer!! I was so excited to get this that the wrong pair of shoes hardly phased me.
Anyway, so I went downtown to exchange the shoes for the correct size, and they didn't have them so I ended up returning the order. On my way out I found a few items and decided to make a purchase. I went to use my new gift card that I had received today, and the balance said $0.00. The SA didn't know what to do, so she called her manager. No on in the store knew what promotion I was talking about when I had told her where I got this gift card, and no one knew what to do. After calling person after person in the store (~10 minutes), the manager called customer service. No one that she talked to knew about this "valued customer gift" that I was talking about. She was on the phone for about 20 minutes, being transferred to person after person. After giving my name, number, and explaining the package I had received to the customer service person 5 times, she told me there was nothing I could do and I just ended up with an empty giftcard and being very frustrated.

So I wrote to Madewell customer service about the days frustrations, and they not only put the $20 onto the giftcard, but they are sending me a replacement pair of Prairie boots free of charge! And the supervisor Jessica personally took care of it for me and apologized. Have you ever heard of such fantastic customer service? You can bet that I will be a Madewell customer for life and will tell everyone how awesome they are! Thanks Madewell!!!!!

  8. pathos, I don't think you'll be disappointed in the factory puffer. I am the enabler who posted about it being good quality... sorry ;)

It is expensive and the price is hard to swallow but it is nice. It was a better price the other day when it was 40% off but... let us know how you like it! At least with the 60 day return window, if you love it you can rebuy if it goes on clearance?
