J. Crew Accessories Preview {Spring '12}

Over at Glamour's "Slave to Fashion" blog, several sneak peeks into J.Crew's upcoming accessories collection for Spring 2012 was shared. Click here to check out their post in its entirety.

So many belts! In a variety of shades, widths, and styles. Is that a navy/white stripe one I see?! :)

Striped bags, perfect for the beach. But it's hard to think about warmer days when there is snow outside!

Is anyone else loving all the clutches? I need them all. Right now.

It looks like there are some new versions of the Brompton bag on that table. I really like the straw (?) version.

Scarves! {sigh} I will take one in both the floral print and the black/white design print please.

Do my eyes see a version of the Juliet Heels in red and orange. I really hope so!!

The ballet shoes (in the image below) look a bit too simple. Maybe they should have arranged them in a more pleasing way. Perhaps a color wheel?

I already spotted two pairs of shoes that I love! The yellow/white heels and the brown/tan heels on the second row (left side).

I see some flats below that I could definitely get on board with! The two-tone ballet flats look very pretty. There is also something about the striped bow flats that I like.

Overall, I am excited by what I see. Looks promising! Of course, the real judgement is saved for when I see them in person! :)

What are your thoughts on the upcoming accessories collection from J.Crew? Are you feeling the color scheme? Are you excited about any upcoming pieces?

  3. Love everything, especially the bags behind the Edie purses - the leopard, black & white, and red. I wonder what they're called! Also love the blue Edie.

  9. OT but there's an article about Jenna Lyons' and her split from her husband on People.com this morning. Thought some of you might be interested.

  10. One of those purses is clearly a Celine "Luggage" knock-off.

  11. I want the bubble necklaces (esp. the orange one!) and some of the new shoes :)

  12. Rosie, I noticed the Celine Luggage knockoff too. Jenna has been photographed carrying different versions over the past year.

Silver_Lining, I see lots of 2008 as well. Bubble necklaces in spring colors and perfect flats, among other things.

  13. Rosie and XOXO, I saw that as well. I thought it looked like Celine as well as similar to this years 3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli tote. I asked my PS about it and actually preordered it in navy even though it's not available for months. I've been looking for a navy bag for ages and even the cheaper Phillip Lim ($900ish) while less than the Celine by far is out of my reach. This one is going to be around $325.

    J. Crew does this a lot, "interprets" designer items. Many of their shoes are quite Miu Miu or Prada inspired, and a few clothing items have jumped out at me as being very similar to runway pieces. I appreciate being able to buy some of these trends at much lower prices than designer prices, though.

  15. These accessories look great. I'm excited to see the re-introduction of the turquoise bubble necklace. I have the coral but have been fearful of buying the turquoise one off the internet since there are so many fakes now.

    The shoes also look promising.

  16. Would anyone like to hazard a guess as to when the next % off promo will hit? I *want* the leopard-print scarf, hat and glittens but I just know the second I submit the order, some kind of promo will show up.

Also, has anyone actually bought any of these items and if so, what are your thoughts on them? Thanks!

  17. I think I want everything they will be producing in that navy/white stripe, including the clutch, the bow flats ... sigh.

And bubble necklace back in full force!

  18. Juliet heels? Do not tease us!!! How fabulous would that be?? Those yellow/white tassle peep toes are pretty cute too.

I'm happy to see the Bubble Necklace in pretty colours. I want one, but not in the current black or red options offered now.

  19. Stripe canvas bags, and the leather one, and those stripe bow flats! Nice preview; looks promising:)

  20. Love all the nice colours!

Would love to see bags other than the Edie and the Brompton.

  21. i like the kelly green, slightly pointy-toe perfect flats!

  22. Love the bright colors, esp cobalt & oranges. Noticed the Celine tote knockoff (no wonder I liked it!) but since I think the original is outrageously priced, I'm glad JC offers an affordable "inspired" version.

So many shoes to love! Esp liking the yellow/white tasseled one on 2nd row left too. Hope the heel heights come down; I'd like to see some options below 3 inches.

  23. it looks like they're making variations of the edie bag. i recently got the calf-hair version, and absolutely love it. i am really looking forward to the new season!

  24. I see some shoes akin to what Marais USA is doing and Swedish Hasbeens too. Why don't the more affordable shoe retailers like Nine West and Aldo realize that women like color when it comes to shoes and don't always want to buy just a black or brown shoe. Only the designer lines seem to take risks with color imo.

  25. @dagmara - good call with the Marais knock offs. I couldn't put my finger on it until I saw your comment.

I have a pair of Marais electric blue suede sandals with a triangular heel that look awfully like the red/black/brown criss cross patent sandals in the photo....and they were only $30 when they went on sale...

  26. So glad J. Crew has started bringing back their bright colors! I hated those seasons of neutrals.

  27. I'm diggin' the flats too. And that they don't look like they're of shiny patent leather makes me want them even more! :)
