Probably not... the "up to 30%" and "select" verbiage is kind of lame. Most of the sweaters on promo that I've looked at so far are more like 20% - so why not just to 20% on all sweaters? There are some pretty colors, but I'm not digging a lot of the acrylic blends. It's probably a good opportunity to give some sweaters a try before they hit final sale, though!
ReplyDeleteWith so few styles included in this promo, it's really not much of a promo at all. I do find it amusing that the Fisherman sweater is down to $78.40 when we all know it was $59.99 less 30% in stores last week.

ReplyDelete80's here in NC the next two or three days. No sweaters for me! Yeah. Love the warmth...I agree with silver lining. what is with all the acrylic blends. I bought those back in my 20's when I couldn't afford a nicer sweater. Pass. I doubt I will buy any sweaters from J.Crew this year.

Pass. Most J. Crew sweaters right now are one-wear and then straight to the rag pile. Nice try unloading them but they'll have to do better than that for those of us in the know.

ReplyDeleteThe only thing I would bite on would be the Kendor sweater (any reviews on those?) and even then, it's not like the price decrease is significant).
This is the most pathetic promo ever! I have been waiting for a sweater promo because I want to buy probably 3 or 4 of them for the winter and almost everything I want is still full price. Why do a sweater promo and not even include 1/3 of the things that are supposed to be on promo. This has definitely left a bad taste in my mouth.

ReplyDeleteI wanted to buy one of the Cambridge cable cardigans but the color I want is sold out in my size. :( I have the heather dusk Dream cardigan, I'd love to get another one but I don't like any of the other colors.

ReplyDeleteI'm very wary about this promo too. I want to stay away from one-wear sweaters! The only thing I'm interested in is the Cambridge Chunky Turtleneck. Does anyone know if the Cambridge yarn is any good this year? I've never owned any Cambridge sweater. Is it itchy? Does it pill? TIA!

ReplyDeleteSo Boden is having their "Catch of the Day" sale today and the women's section of the sale has a TON of cardigans and sweaters on sale for 30% off. I have a ton of knitwear from both Boden and J. Crew, and hands down, the Boden pieces tend to last longer and usually are softer.
That said, Boden's catch of the Day are only one day long for a week, so the sweaters and cardigans will be back to full price tomorrow.
