Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SUMMER sale, or to see some new SUMMER arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. I have a ton of returns, so I will probably stop by this weekend. The sale sections in my local B&Ms are so picked over and full of the same old stuff that I don't expect to find anything I want to buy. Can't wait for the Fall rollout!

  2. I have a return to make. And I just saw online where the Boy Shirt in Ikat Madras went to $49.99 and all the colors of the Perfect Shirt in Neon Gingham are $39.99, so I'm going to see if they still have the extra 30% off in my local store for those.

  3. I don't plan on going this weekend. I've made all my returns and now I'm just waiting for the fall items to be released.

  4. I don't know where to put this...looking to see if anyone has tried on the harper chino shorts. I covet these since they came out but my store didn't have them. Any suggestions would be appreciated :> I took a size 2 in last years chino shorts (they hang a bit low.)

  5. I have a few returns so I will go. The sale sections in the 2 stores near me are overflowing into the middle of the stores ... I'll take a quick pass through looking for additional markdowns on Perfect Shirts and maybe some Ballet Flats.

One of my returns is the Mirabel Shorts ... there was a "pull" in embroidery that is actually unravelling when I took them out of the box. Hello quality control?

  6. No, I have enough already, for upcoming vacation and rest of summer season. Already took back stacks of returns from the recent promos, and will enjoy not having to scan the website every morning for a while!

  7. Does anyone know if the confetti pendant necklace is still in stores? I'd rather not pay JC shipping if I can find it locally. Thanks!

  9. If you carefully inspect them and are still in the market for summery pieces, it seems like there are good deals to be had in-store w the add'l 30%. I just did my returns at lunch and the sale section had alot of new items I didn't see last week, probably catalog returns as well as new arrival markdowns.

  10. Lauren PhD - The confetti sold out in my local store before it made it to sale. I *might* have seen one in San Francisco Centre, but that was a week ago.

  11. This hasn't been mentioned yet from what I have reviewed but there was a pretty good update this morning and new items and markdowns have been showing today and yesterday. I too will be going in to my local store to see if I find any thing I NEED (haha) with the 30% off.

I haven't seen Jcrew sale section online hold over 1000 items for this long. Typically they offer a percent off to clear things out. Maybe they are going to wait until store ship what is left of their sale sections back and have a sale as new arrivals come in. That seems to make some sense since it will be an intro to the new season. Well that is my theory we will see how plays out

  12. I visited a few stores last week in my travels. Sale items are an additional 30% off, so you can get some nice deals if you can find your size.

The Bellevue Square store had several Bronwyn hobo returns on a table at the back. They looked quite sad. The quality of the leather just isn't there, it seems.

  13. Just rolled by my B&M (Raleigh, NC) and made a few small scores, as they were offering extra 30% off sale prices.

Yet again I brought a humongous load into the dressing room and not much came out. :(

I just adore that Mirabel dress but the fit was terrible on me. I sized all the way down to a 6 (!) and I still looked pregnant. The waist just hit me in an awful place. It was down to $99, plus an extra 30% off. There were several left.

Tried on the kelly green suckered gingham perfect shirt .... yecchhh. The color! Neon. 80s redux. Sigh.

I ended up with the fisherman pullover in the brown color -- I was certain I'd need a Med but tried on a Small and was pleasantly surprised. [fyi, there are NO mediums in brown but there were several stacks of all colors, fyi.]

Also got the ikat madras boyshirt (of course!), down to about $35 post-discount. Some red & blue plaid gauze scarves somehow migrated over from the men's section and although they were marked at $24.99, mine rang up at $9.99 (pre-discount!) ... same for a funny little necklace that was tagged at $29.99 but rang at $9.99.
Last but not least, bought a tissue-weight henley that I can't find online; it has navy wording across the front.

All in all, a nice haul, but once again disappointed in a lot of what I'm finding these days. :(

    HTHs someone.

  14. Elaine, did the Raleigh B&M have more size S in the brown fisherman sweater? Is it still $59.99 plus 30%? Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  15. Elaine, I am wondering if the tissue weight henley with the navy wording says something about Lake Erie? If so, I saw it in the Grand Rapids MI store when it first came out but it sold out way before it ever went on sale. It was an "in store only" item. Nice find!

  16. Austin stores are still offering 30% off sale (making it a final sale). Lots of button up shirts including the neon gingham, lots of tees and tanks, jeans and skirts. I bought the cottage lace mini in a blush color that I did not see online. Plan to wear it with a cute denim shirt I just bought at Madewell!

  17. Elaine,

Was at the same store today around 12:30. Glad to see 30% off sale still. I bought a plaid boyshirt with mint green/purple plaid, frog pin (marked $9.99 but ran up at 2.99), blush colored lace skirt that I LOVE, last pair size 10 orange/blue flip flops. (there was a size 7 left) I had been wanting these! Also, got a green v-neck cardigan with pretty buttons and a favorite tank in blush pink.

  18. I had some returns to make and on top of that I wanted to see the Perfect shirt in teal plaid. I loved this shirt in person, it isn't paper thin, it has a really nice texture and is super soft.

I did score some good deals:
Mirabel dress dress in white at $89.99 +30%off. They had all three dresses of this cut on sale and lots of sizes at the Vegas store.

The eyelet blazer was there marked at $59.99 +30%. There was one in gray and many in white (small and large sizes).

I tried on the new cafe capris and I just love the fabric. It is a soft and dense fabric that feels like it will last. There were some colors marked at $29.99 +30%off.

There were shoes, scarves, jewelery, millions of tees, lots of sweaters, dresses, belts, tights, hats, bags and more on sale. I feel like our west coast store probably holds on to sale items more than the east coast so if you are on the hunt for something it is worth the call. There are just too many things to list.

I hope this information helps. Have a great weekend everyone and happy shopping!

  19. Probably nothing for me this weekend. I am so shopped out from the past few weeks of summer sales. I think I will wait for the next % off promo and even then, I will cautious. I have to start saving for to the fall rollout ;-)

  20. I visited J. Crew yesterday with a Gift Card from my Coworkers--I got some tees and that chambray vest, glitter flip-flops, and the blue casbah scarf. 30% off Sale is still existing in the store.

  21. If the store does not have the item in my size, does anyone know if I use the red phone do I still get the 30 % off.

I saw the bungalow pants at my local store at ~$40 something but on their website the price is $118.

  23. Drew Jeffries, unless JC's policy has changed you can get the 30% off using the red phone as long as an sa confirms the sale.

Tried on a new sequin tank - size down - in white (finally a true white). Hope it sticks around so I can get it on sale. Also tried on a merino wool sweater - size down - in a beautiful shade of teal that I LOVE! But, it's way too hot here to think about buying a wool sweater, even though it's thin. I won't be able to wear it until November, so I'll wait and hope for a promo or sale.

My PS said new items will be in on the 26th, which is also the day that our factory store opens (N. Charleston, SC). Guess I'll hit both that day. :)

  24. Ladies, if your local B&M still has the 30% off promo, then now is the perfect time to get the Silk Blythe Blouse! I got the fresh apricot and dark navy for $34.99 after the 30% off discount. IRL photos here.

  25. Yup! Got the Mini-Spotlight Necklace, and I have to thank Gigi for mentioning this necklace on her blog because it truly is a mini version of the Crystal Libretto. Love! I also picked up the Piped Glitter belt and it's very lovely IRL, highly recommend for $19 with the extra 30% off.

  26. @MegCrew, did they have the Mirabel dress in the muslin with poppy? Also, did you notice any Blythe bloues in the peach color? TIA!

  27. Went to the store in Edina, MN, they had the extra 30% off.

Indie dress - got this for 34.99 after the percent off, way cheaper than online. You must try on this dress. I was pleasantly surprised when I tried it on. It has a great look, perfect for a beach vacation. It is very sheer even with the liner. It is a gauzy cotton material. It has a great shape.

Swing sweater - the silk linen material is beautiful and light for summer.

I got the Jardin skirt in the mail in the clay color. The color is way darker than what is depicted online. I was disappointed, wanted the lighter color as seen online. I took it back.

    Happy Shopping!

  28. Hi shekster!

The had the white, dark blue, and the siesta (light blue w/yellow cap sleeve design). There was one stripe blousen dress marked the $89.99 in a size 6 but I didn't see it when I went back by the rack so it was either purchased for in the dressing room.

I too am on the hunt for the Blythe and actually ordered them online because I don't see them at our store? The down fall is that I could have totally missed them because there is sale stuff everywhere and items are marked down within the full price items so you have to be aware. For instance the ginghams that were just marked down are hanging where they have always been and with the other full price shirts. You just have to know they are on sale or look at the tag. There are many instances of this through out the store.

Have you seen he Blythe shirts at our store? Did I just miss them?

I didn't see anything else new worth mentioning...

There was a utility pencil skirt in khaki that isn't online that is $29.99 that I hadnt seen before. It seems like there were more accessories too.

I hope that helps. Sorry for all of the random detail. Just want make sure I cover it all incase it saves ou a trip!

  29. Sorry I wasnt very clear. In the first paragraph I was talking about the Mirabel and siesta dress (all same cut). They didn't have the Muslin w/ poppy....

  30. Momoberry - Yay on the spotlight necklace. It's so cute.

  31. At Lake Grove B&M yesterday, Mirabel dresses are $99 plus 30% off final sale. A Size 0 and 6 remains. Schoolboy madras blazer down to $29.99 plus 30% off (still $69.99 online - yet another price discrepancy - what's new). Also, a single Drapey reve tee in XS in the sale rack, $19.99 plus 30% off.

Tried on wild ikat perfect shirt, fit and drape is great on these cotton/silk blend perfect shirts as usual, but the large pattern overwhelmed me.

    HTH!

  32. Paramus store in NJ had Jardin skirt in purple and grey, quite a few sizes. I tried on the grey one and was not impressed. There was quite a lot of volume in the hips. The fabric was nice to touch but it will wrinkle easily and the folds did not lay flat. Overall, I would never even try it on, if it did not get so much attention here. Seemed to fit true to size and the lenght was below the knee ( I am 5'6").

They also had two racks of the paisley pencil skirt in (I think) all sizes if anybody is interested. They are closed on Sunday but call them on Monday, if you are interested.

They had tons of items on sale with extra 30% off. I had a gift card burning a hole in my pocket so I got a pair of Maddie linen pants and an orange t-shirt with my total still below $50. The Maddie pants had a tag with $168, talk about inflated starting prices leading to drastic markdowns...

  34. JCAs, the brick & mortar stores are carrying the Bronwyn Hobo (item 42142) for $79.99, before additional 30% off and Educator discount. AMAZING!

  35. Alexis-
Where??? My local stores do not have. Would love to own it for that price!!! My email is lbelleconner@yahoo.com. Thanks!!!!

  36. Hi MegCrew: Thanks for your help and info! I have not seen the Silk Blythe at our store either. I have the white and light blue Mirabel dresses. I might call about the black one. You probably saved me a trip this weekend. I REALLY appreciate it! Take Care :)

  37. Alexis..Are you saying that most jc stores are offering the educ. 15% discount AND the 30% off sale together? Because the Richmond store is NOT. I'm curious so that I ask them AGAIN. Thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Atlanta Lenox B&M, School Boy Summer Stripe Blazer in Fade Indigo 39.99 + 30% off! I saw a lot of size 2s and other larger sizes. It is still $118 online! Glad I went to the store!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Suzy, I don't know about most JC's, but mine is giving both. My PS even called me to let me know when JC reinstated the discount with sale items.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Suzy, your store should give you both discounts. The manager at my local b&m told me that that's now the policy at all stores.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Suzy,
The stores in So. Fl. are giving BOTH discounts. They say that they just started doing it "again."

  42. Went in this weekend to do a quick return and actually had a few kid-free moments to thoroughly peruse the sale racks. By the time I got there, I'd say it was pretty picked over. I did get a light blue Jackie for $30. Almost bought the white cafe capris but there were lots of them and I believe they'll get cut in price further. I didn't want to spend the $50 or $60 - 30%. I have a feeling I can get them at $20 at some point. We shall see.

Oh, and wanted to share that my Jardin skirt is on its way. My nice PS did a WWFIFY and it was found. Although, given the review just posted, I'm not going to get my hopes up. Will definitely report on fit, etc... when I get it!

  43. Wonder if the extra 30 will continue into next week.
