J.Crew Email: UP TO 50% OFF new styles added to sale (plus, a FREE SHIPPING surprise)

"Thanks!" to many of you, including IRL (in this post), who shared the following email.

J.Crew announces that the Sale section (click here to shop online) includes additional new styles!

There was a small update today with some additional markdowns in addition to new sale items. However, I really did not notice that many new items included. (But in all fairness, I just glanced at the Sale section this morning.)

I feel like another "percent off sale" promotion will come around soon (after the latest free shipping promo ends).

Will you be checking out the Sale section? Are there any items you are interested in? If so, please share. :)

  1. I just posted a list of these markdowns (some new, others further marked down) on my blog, www.shoppingonthefly.blogspot.com. It's a pretty long list and I don't think I got all of them! Thank you, Alexis =)

  2. Thanks and you're welcome, jcrewmommy. Check out Gigi 's ultra-helpful list of sales with links to IRL pics too. Checking out sales is my way of entertainment while making breakfast for the kiddos.

  3. This just solidifies my process of no longer buying full price unless I must have it that second. A few pieces got marked down and they've only been out a month or two.

  4. Yeah, don't ever pay FP. We've seen items go to FS in 15 days around here.

  5. I smell another 30% discount coming down the pike....

Nothing for me this 'round...while there are more items, it's very limited on sizes, save for first round of markdowns (like the Nickleby, for example).

    Looks like some good shoe choices - if you're not a 7.5 :( ...

  6. I have the code FREESHIP on the browser on my computer but the SHIP150 one on my telephone...
The candy plaid shirt FINALLY went on sale but my size is sold out.

  7. Does anyone else have trouble remembering what they have bought from J.Crew over the years? I am looking for a way to start capturing all this great stuff I am buying, as sometimes I forget names of pieces I own or their specific colors. Does someone out there have a cool and organized way to do this? I thought of Polyvore but I am not in love with that site for some reason. Any recommendations? Does anyone else have this problem or does the cheese stand alone LOL? TIA!!!

  8. Off topic - Talbots outlet has a ton of stuff on sale right now - the charming cardigans were marked down from $69 to $7 dollars and some change. The modern trench is marked down from $189 to $23.49 - some great dels, but sizes are selling out fast. Alexis please feel free to delete as I do not want to cause any "buzz" aboutbeing off topic. I just wanted to share with other fellow JCA's. Have a great day!!!

  9. Has anyone tried the Maggie cropped trouser? Do you know how the size runs? Thanks!

  10. Ah, bien sur, how could I pass up FREE SHIP on every/any order? It simply isn't done!

I bought a few odds, including the striped tissue turtleneck in dark charcoal, which I really hope ships, as I have been trying to catch it on popback for months now. And 2 cute tees for my son.

Of course would have preferred it all at extra 30% off sale, but...

  11. nonickname, I echo your request. I don't love polyvore either, it just isn't that easy to use. I'd love some way of organizing my ridiculous collection of J.Crew!

I have SHIP100 on Mozilla, SHIP150 on my phone, SHIP100 on IE, lame. I hate these stupid selective promos.

  12. nonickname, how about tracking all your purchases in a spreadsheet? I find I can easily keep tabs on my JC spending that way too. :)

Polyvore has really started to grow on me lately, although I wasn't keen on it at the beginning either.

  13. I'd also like to know about sizing on the Maggie trouser - significant price drop, but final sale, grr

  14. nonickname -- I use Polyvore (as do many JCAs) to keep track of what I've got in my wardrobe...about 75% JCrew! It's also helpful when I have one of those mornings where I don't have a clue what to wear -- looking back on the sets I've created really saves me time.

  15. Does anyone have a review of the Chambray Cara dress?

    Chambray Cara Dressa

And to remember the name of my past online purchases, I just search my email inbox for J. Crew orders. They include the name, size, and color with each invoice.

  16. Totally Off Topic -- I hate wearing green, but need something to wear to a St. Patrick's Day event. Do you think the Tartan Boy Shirt might be considered Irish?

    Thanks

  17. Nothing for me from the sale section, although a couple of the non-sale dresses are tempting now that they're marked down a bit on promo:

The Linea Shift is now $95 instead of $118, and the Shelby is $98 instead of $128. Only thing is that they'll probably get marked down even further when the new arrivals go online next Thursday.

  18. Hi,
Can anyone comment on the fit of the "tuxedo henley" item 37717? Just went down to $19.99.

    Thank you!

  19. Hi gem twin - I'd say it's TTS for whatever your size in JC knits is.

  20. jcrewcrazy - thanks for the tip! I was able to get a pined-for cardigan, blouse and blazer for under $60 -- insane!

  21. Sorry for the OT, but thought I'd post this since the new red paisley skirt appears to be popular - I was in a b&m today and they had it paired with the sailor stripe perfect shirt and wide tan belt. Loved it!

  22. Ema- The Easton store had a bunch of the candy plaid shirts in sweet moss for $50. You might want to try them. I picked one up with a forever cardigan in seaweed and it looked so cute :)

  23. It seems the Mickey card is back. I got a 20% off purchase for $150 or more purchase in stores through April 11. "Enjoy this offer as many times as you like through April 11". The card says To our Jcrew loyalists, .....

  24. I never pay full price at JCrew, either. I bought a radiette cami last week and it's already on sale. I think the radiette cami was hardly even out before it went to sale. Now that it's on sale, I'm tempted to pick up a few more colors, but since it seems like J. Crew will be offering another sale soon, I think I'll wait this one out. Can't wait for the sale bin to be an extra 30% off!

  25. liz2838, thanks I haven't called the stores in NYC yet but I hope that they still have some.

marie, I got one too. I got a little bit too excited and didn't read about the minimum at first but then I read the fine print. Still a great surprise. I got the Cecilia dress that was on hold for me.
Ladies, don't throw it away, it looks like an ad for a credit card (it comes in a grey fold).

  26. Has anyone purchased the Solid Tie Bandeau Tank swimsuit that's in the FS section? There are so many sizes and colours left I feel like it might not be a great fitting suit.

  27. Went to my B&M today and picked up the following:

    Retro Shell, Popsicle Pink, $29.99
Lace Stripe Tee, $34.99 (It's $29.99 online, if they run a percent off promo soon, I'll return and rebuy!)
    Waverly Chinos, $29.99
