J.Crew Mini-Blooper: Cashmere Open Cardigan {sample that!}

"Thanks!" to Caroline (in this post) who found a special message in the Cashmere Open Cardigan (item 32987; $198.00).

On the inside of both the Heather Tide and Henna versions, one can find the words "SAMPLE" in magic marker.

This is pretty funny. Too bad it is not the first time J.Crew has been caught using sample items for its website. Oh J.Crew!

Did you notice that the cardigan had the sample marking on the inside? Did you get this cardigan? If so, notice any markings? ;)

  4. Good eye. It's pretty funny. You'd think the photographers would catch this. Or they don't care.

  5. Just goes to show how JCrew is not paying attention to detail and really doesn't care IMO. I am really disappointed in how they run the company right now.

    I was so disappointed when the one blazer last year that was red with liberty trim showed it on the pockets AND cuffs online and then it came with no trim on the cuffs. I find their website to be a mess with continued misrepresentation and errors. Sorry for the rant but what other online retailer does this on a consistent basis??? None that I am aware of and I shop online 95% of the time!

  7. I can't believe the eyes on you guys. I probably would have totally missed that blunder.

    I am loving this henna color too and need to narrow down what item I want in that color. The wool bell skirt is looking tempting.

  8. I ended up placing a big order of final sale items last week on Wednesday - thought about holding off in case of a % off code, but didn't because I knew everything would disappear as soon as one came out, and the customer service rep I asked over chat said she wasn't aware of any coming up. Anyway, when the 30% off code came out on Friday, I called and asked VERY nicely if they would apply it to my order, and they did, no questions asked, and I was ecstatic. Saved $180!!

  10. Most retailers use sample to shoot for their websites since they have to shoot the images well in advance before the products hit the site. They should have taken out the word "sample" in post production, though.

  11. I don't have a problem with them photographing samples, but Photoshop!!! LOL, that is pretty terrible.
