Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SPRING sale, or to see some new SUMMER arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. I was just at the J. Crew at Mayfair Mall in Wisconsin and I got the Denim Minnie pant for only $19.99!! I thought I was buying it at 39.99, what it was marked on the tag, but I was surprised to see it on my receipt!!! (A great surprise!) I checked it online and it is going for $78 down from $98. I was shocked to see such a dramatic difference in the prices! Anyone know why? There was also a ton of other sizes there for anyone going!

  2. I saw the black blossom jacket in Pleasanton, CA on Thursday. XS (2), S (2), M (1). Remember this went down to $29.99. I also saw those Sconset plaid shirts on the sale rack. I didn't go over to check the price. I thought this a relatively new arrival...

  3. I was at The Grove J.Crew this week and the sale section had a bunch of embellished tees (mostly larger sizes left), some tie-dye skirts (sorry didn't check sizes), Ginny dress in brown, 1 dauphine tweed jacket (sz 0), 1 Jaipur skirt in sz 10 or 12?

I will be visiting the outlet this weekend. Hopefully there are still things left from the awesome reports last week. ;-)

    Happy Memorial Day weekend everyone!

  4. I'm planning to go to the outlets today and make use of that 20% off code :) Hope to find some of the things other posters mentioned, esp. the ikat halter dress!

  5. Re: Gigi-I saw the black blossom jacket in the Asheville store for $9.99 last weekend. The skirts were $4.99!!!! They only had a handful left, but if you were looking for them, what a price!

  6. OT -- Ann Taylor Loft is having a 40% off everything promotion this weekend (code is SAVE40). I have a few things in my J.Crew shopping cart, but I guess I know where my $$ is going this weekend! I bought Ann Taylor Loft's gladiator sandals (#181029, $59.50) in black last weekend, and they're super comfy, so I picked them up in the brown as well.

  7. Fort those interested, I was just at the outlet and got this gorgeous blazer that is exactly like last year's poppy floral jacket but in more of a purple color scheme. Blazers were 50% off and then with the 20% coupon the blazer came out to just $29. Quite a steal since it was a new arrival piece.

  8. Has the free shipping code on the sidebar of this site worked for anyone today? I just tried and it didn't work for me...

  9. This is off tangent, but does anyone have IRL pics of the Beacon metallic tobo, style no. 23186? I've been debating this bag. Is the platinum gold more close to a silver color? I would be interested in seeing how it looks on a real person instead of a seamtress dressform ? (What the heck, J Crew, can't you afford to take a pic on a real person?) Thank you in advance. Have a fabulous weekend.

  10. I need some help. I'm in Canada and I would like to find the Cabochon Earrings. Thanks.

  11. Michelle,

What a deal on the blazer! How does one find out where all the JCrew outlets are? Is there a listing some place? thanks

    ReplyDelete
  12. I found a list at mall-info.com
No outlets near me:( Have fun shopping the deals if you do!

  13. I will be hitting the Crewlet in Osage Beach, MO on Sunday. Looking for some birthday presents to myself! Everyone have a great wekeend!

  14. Genny: the location feature on jcrew.com also includes all the outlets by state.

  15. If anyone sees the twill bomber jacket this weekend in their store, either color, size 12, please put on hold for me :). I would be very grateful!! :)

  16. I won't be visiting the store this weekend. I just ordered the silk-linen v-neck sweater in "sandstone," the cashmere cardigan in "heather hydrangea" and the v-neck ladder stitch sweater (I love the boatneck version) in "light berry." Not sure I'll like the light berry as I'm not a purple person, but I like the silhouette. I also sucked it up and paid $13 in shipping. I tried adding some crewcut items to my order but didn't get free shipping. Dont' care enough to call cs.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I have numerous items in my cart right now but won't buy without a % off code. Practically every other comparable retailer is having a % off code this weekend! Maye they'll throw us a bone on Monday?!

    ReplyDelete
  18. This is OT, but Martin & Osa is going out of business and everything is 50% off (online only). They have some really nice sandals and scarves.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Well, J. Crew got me. I went ahead and hit the trigger on a few sale items w/o a code :)

The Frankie Dress (Navy), jersey promenade gown (lilac, I would have preferred gray), Silk Frances cami (bright coral), ripstop cargo pants (beechwood) and neon necklace will be mine shortly.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Bright Young Thing-
I think the free shipping applies only to the crewcuts items. When they have free shipping on certain things it only applies to those and not the others, since they determine shipping by price. The tees and knits promo got me on this, but I also sucked it up and paid for shipping. I'd rather get my stuff than kick myself when it sells out and I was holding out for a code.
The summer sale got me... I picked up the Prism Necklace, two long sleeve crewnecks, the long toothpick jeans and some tanks.
I also succumbed to the lightweight spring jaspe zip up for full price in stores.
    sigh....

mack- the twill bomber has been coming up on popbacks randomly so keep checking, it might have been a 10 or 12 last time, but I sized down for mine. s

  21. Ann, I used the free shipping code this morning for some sale items without any problem.

  22. I'm going to the outlet in Jackson and/or Tinton Falls this weekend. I am looking for twill minnies, pencil skirts, and shorts in 0/00. I bought the twill minnies in black for $80, but am hoping there is a more affordable option at the crewlet. Has anyone see these offered at the crewlets?

    ReplyDelete
  23. I also just got the gilded jacquard pencil skirt for $79.99 down from $128. It's a great option for shorties (does not require hemming), and a great color!

    ReplyDelete
  24. wondering if somebody can help me. I'm looking for the Edie Paisley Jacquard dress in a size 8 or 10 or even a 12. I think it would be great to wear for my son's wedding. It's out of stock of course online and I called their "wish line" and was told the chances are slim of getting it cause it's last year's dress. Please help

  26. HELP, HELP, HELP!!!

I'm looking for the hot pink flip flops featured in the spring catalog. I believe this was exclusive to the catalog but I've had horrible luck trying to locate them since. They're for a gift so any help, suggestions, or advice would be fantastic!!

    Thanks!

  27. Shirly Dela Cruz, do you mind posting what you find and/or promotions? TIA :)

OT, but Limited is having a good promo. Several cute knit dresses for $40 plus they have a 25% entire purchase mailer out with a one-time use code.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Shirley, I was at the Crewlet in Pleasant Prairie last weekend. They had a table of "Winnies" which are basically an outlet version of the Minnie. I seem to remember them being around $50? Not totally sure, but they were definitely cheaper than the FP Minnie and essentially the same thing. HTH!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Stopped by the outlet again and scored some dark rinse hipslung jeans for only $17! Their whole store had some kind of promo and the clearance was still additional 40% off.

Definitely stop by the outlets this weekend in the morning before the whole store gets picked over!

  32. Hi Monica, thanks for the update. I already called the store and have one on hold. I had a cotton one (not the stretchy kind like in fp now), in early spring, but the hook was defective so I ended up returning and no more sizes left when I returned. I am told they are $39 (now) and we will see if the 20% off $100 will be offered. I hope these are almost as nice as FP, as I would love to save $$$, but realize I may have to bite the bullet if the fit is different. For the jeans, I found the fit to be very different but then again, most Jcrew jeans don't fit me well to begin with (the denim minnies worked well for me though!)

I also called about pencil skirts and was told they are $34.

  35. I'm desperately looking for the Metropolitan Leather ankle boot in black in size 9. It was on jcrew.com today and just slipped under my nose, grrrrr... Do you think there is a slight chance to find it? Thanks and happy shopping.

    ReplyDelete
  36. No shopping for me this weekend, especially without a % off. I have two packages en route as well as two Find It items on the way and another box of returns here, just waiting for the next deliveries in case anything else needs to go back.

During the recent 20% off promo I bought the Icon trench in black and light grey since it never goes on sale. I also had free shipping on my account so am pretty happy about that deal. Since then I`ve place a Summer Sale order as well. It may be time to slow things down just a little bit. If I were near a crewlet I could probably be enticed but thankfully, I'm many miles away.

    Happy Memorial Day!

  37. This is OT but I had to share with those who could appreciate- after seeing the photos of the Turks and Caicos photo shoot I looked up the Islands on the Trip advisor website, which had just named Turks and Caicos the #1 beach in the world! Supposedly it is also Jennas favorite getaway spot. So, long story short, I bought a new jcrew swimsuit and bought a plane ticket to Turks Caicos. Hopefully it will live up the hype!!

  38. I hope there will be a discount on regular stuff for Memorial Day Weekend. I'm a Canadian and I need the extra help. :(

  39. Sarah Goblot, I hear you. I can handle a 95c exchange rate but the taxes are bit much at around 26% on my last order.

I totally forgot about my new arrivals order that is also en route. I got a tracking number and see that it is taking a tour of NE USA so will be delayed. It's a bad sign when I shop so much I forget what I've bought. Maybe time for a 12-step program. *blushes*

  40. Sconset plaid shirts were $39.99 at Lake Grove, NY. Black blossom skirt was $19.99. An entire table of embellished tees they can't get rid off. Best of all, I snagged a Sunshine Peony Coccinelle dress in Size 0 for $89.99! Love the fit and the pockets. Happy holiday weekend everybody!

  41. Helene, the Jezebel.com stuff is always good for a LOL.

I wasn't planning on going to JC this weekend . . . but my long awaited salmon Marche satchel arrived today. I hadn't acted fast enough when it went on sale but I finally scored a pop-back, and it is UGLY. Yikes. Am very glad it isn't final sale. So, I'm going to hit Bellevue or Pacific Place for the return and to see if there are any good bargains.

  42. CMG- I have the beacon in Pale Gold and it is not really very gold, but more of a muted silver. The platinum looks very bright online. It is a GORGEOUS bag. I noticed that they have played with the price of it - I purchased it when it was $199 and 20% off. Then it went back to Full price and now it is back on sale for $228?? SO who knows where J crew will price it next. You may want to wait to see if it comes down in price. I will try to take a photo for you over the weekend- please post your e-mail. I also noticed that they changed the price of a Crewcuts skirt. I purchased the Cantebury Vienna skirt when it was $36 and now it is $48. I also noticed that there are only a handful left. Sneaky J crew... I don't like it!!

  48. Just back from Asheville store. They had both watercolor pencil skirts for $39.99. I snagged a pastiche...can't beat that price! I also got the sconset plaid shirt for$39.99. Had to size down and it was still a tad loose, but I love it! My surprise love came when I tried on the toothpick ankle jeans in AMA(?) wash...omg-I adore these jeans. $125 is a little much- I could buy designer jeans at that price-so I will be waiting for a sale.

  49. xoxo: lol 12-step, can I come too? I have another huge box of returns but ordered some of the Piera ballet flats in the "dried fig" (mauve) today after seeing them on Kathy (Two Hands Full of Daisies). They have a hidden wedge/platform and a leather insole: omigawd they could be great.

Hexicon, I've also been stalking that bag on popback, it's ugly? Oh no! Well, you've saved me looking for it endlessly. ;)

Happy Memorial Day weekend to my American friends! :)

  51. Got back from Natick a bit ago... ended up with the lynx cardi in sand dune (this cardi really does run small! i went with a m instead of the usual s), and two graphic tees :) the molly and max one (which is an extremely flattering tee despite its sheerness!!) and the "bill's costume jewelry" sequin tee. promo ($10 off, i believe this has been going on for a while?) plus teacher discount made it a very nice deal indeed. speaking of jewelry... all jewelry in store was like 30% off or something (probably less, that seems high for the crew) for the weekend.

aaaaand my boyfriend's mom gave me a catalog with a 20% off code so i ordered more :( ...anyone tried on the tissue flutter tank? if so, how is the fit?

    ReplyDelete
  52. @DaniBP re Marche bag: LOL, it's so funny, Dani, I am warming up to this bag after being horrified when I first opened up the box. Now I'm on the fence (DH thinks it's fug so that may tip me over). Just in case another one pops back, be aware that it is ORANGE, not salmon or even tangerine. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but not what I was expecting.

    ReplyDelete
  53. The whole sale section in New Haven was pretty much filled with graphic/embellished tees from 14.99 to 29.99. I snagged a couple, plus most if not all graphic tees were $10 off. There were some of those purple watercolor cardis for 39.99, some chino shorts for 24.99 (0, 2, and larger sizes), those tanks with the huge ruffle running vertically from top to bottom for 29.99, and more. My wardrobe has now been saturated with pinky/purply tees, and I'm dying for some greens and blues.

  55. Hexicon - The Marche looked salmon to me, but I can see how it looks shockingly orange because it's so bright when you first see it. I think it's a beautiful handbag.

Concur w/Molly about regular price jewelry being on sale. There was no signage, so I don't have specifics. Can't confirm that it was 30%. I believe some of the necklaces are $10 off and I have a retail only one in this post.

  56. Last weekend, watercolor garden pencil skirts were $9.99 at my local B&M (Carmel CA). Today, I found watercolor floral pastiche pencil skirts sold for $9.99 too (two in size 0 and one in other size). Also, brown mini skirts with small embroideries were $9.99.

Like garden pencil skirt, those skirts were marked on tag (non-returnable). But they were brand new without any defects. I was surprised to find great deals at a normal J.Crew shop (not factory outlet).

PS: watercolor garden shell was marked down to $39,99.

  57. Re: flutter sleeve tee
See how it fits on the model online; that's how it fits on me in my regular size (sm). I love the material. The bodice is long, but I like the whole slouchy look; it's not a streamlined fit, and the sleeves ontop kind of flutter up and aren't really a cap sleave at all. But it's already 90 degrees here so the lightness is desirable. HTH!

    ReplyDelete
  58. Hexicon: Thanks for the heads up on the orangeness of it. Now you have the torturous "keep or return?" decision to make.
Gigi I remember that you saw the bag in RL and loved it!

  59. I'm so excited! I just bought the silk indigo skirt on ebay in EUC in my size with beautiful pattern placement for $24.99 and $3 shipping. The seller has 100% feedback for over 1700 txns so I'm pretty confident I scored big time on this item that I have wanted forever. It was just listed this morning and for some reason I had the urge to check for it today. I cannot believe my luck. :)

  60. I also purchased the salmon marche satchel on a popback. The salmon color is on the brighter side, but it is a beautiful bag imo.

  61. I tried on fleur sequin dress at collection store ny. Kindly put, I looked like the ugly love child of a bratwurst and a christmas tree. SA seemed disappointed when I handed it back; trying for tact, I explained that I couldn't imagine where I'd wear it. She suggested that with a denim jacket it could go to the office! Still recovering.

  66. @wellfedfred: It's been 10 minutes since I read your post, and I'm still giggling. Thank you.

Was at the mall yesterday & stopped into j.crew to make return. No specials that were advertised anyway, no extra % off sales ... unlike every other store in the mall, which seemed to recognize this is a long holiday weekend, and there just might be some good foot traffic. 40% off sales at AT; dropped some $$ there, plus at Nordstrom's sale. Then somehow blew an hour at the toy store, aka Sephora, having my favorite SA draw big, dramatic eyes on me and experimenting with various lipsticks. I adore being a girl.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Stopped in at the Boca Raton store today. Lots of tees on the sale rack - I am so tired of looking at them, please just send them away! Lots of chino shorts on sale, but mostly larger sizes. Some skirts also - I picked up the tweed unagi skirt in the violet color, which is absolutely gorgeous! It was $59.99. There were a few sizes left in the sunshine peony skirt, but can't remember which ones now - it was marked $64.99. The watercolor skirt was marked down to $39.99. I adore the tie dye Wednesday skirt (it was $49.99) but they only had sizes 6 and up left.

OT, but Banana Republic was having a big sale. They give you a "mystery" card when you walk in that can save you up to 50% (mine was 25% off everything). They had some pants on sale for as low as $13.99. I picked up a few skirts and got a pair of skinny jeans for $15 (they were marked down to $20 before my discount). They also had basic lightweight v-neck sweaters marked down to $12.99. It's in the 90s already down here in FL, but I still had to buy one because it was such a good price!

    ReplyDelete
  68. I think it is funny to hear all the comments about all the sale tees. Just a year or so ago they were all the rage and people were shelling out big bucks. Now it seems they cannot get rid of them! LOL. I never got on the band wagon but waited for them to go down to $14.99 or $9.99 before I bought one:)

I found a pretty pink tee with chiffon roses at Kohl's this weekend and used my Kohl's cash to get it. The slub cotton was so nice and the quality was really there. I was pleasantly surprised as I did not buy any of the JCrew ones due to the price even though I thought them lovely!

I also bought a tunic that FFM recommended from them online a few weeks ago. Nice quality and fit as well. Dana Buchman line.

First Kohl's clothing purchases in about 3 years so very happy with what I bought.

  70. CaptainCrew, nice score on the silk indigo skirt. I have it and love it, especially the light silk for summer.

I've noticed it appears regularly on the Weekly Exchange "Looking to Find". If it doesn't work out for you, surely a fellow JCA would give it a good home.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Update on the outlets - I tried on the "Winnies" which is the outlet-equivalent of the Minnies. I actually found the fit/fabric to be comparable. They only have black, navy, and denim, so I may just exchange my black for a charcoal.

I also picked up some sale jewelry, basic t's, shorts, etc. The t's were 50% off. Shorts were $25.

I've only recently drunk the crewlade and my toddler had other things in mind, so I didn't have too much time to pay attention to things.

    ReplyDelete
  72. hey jenny! is there any chance you are going back to your mall and would want to pick up a pair of minnies for me?? i want those so bad but dont live near a jcrew brick and mortar store. i would paypal you in advance and whatever the shipping cost is. just let me know :) thanks! babyhalo19 @ yahoo . com
