Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the RESORT & early SPRING sale, or to see some new SPRING arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. Minnie denim pants were $39.99, Mackenzie blazers (in black at my store) were $79.99. Crystal web earrings were $29.99.

    Happy weekend!

  4. The denim ankle zip Minnies (23559) are $39.99 in-store. I love them. Usually take 4, 6 or 6P in J Crew bottoms. Took a 4 in these. They feel tight when you get them on and stretch out as you wear them during the day. Yes, these are still fp online. I am wearing them in this post. Good luck sun in seattle :-)

  5. Any NYC JCAers have a good sense of whose sale racks look promising? I'm going to check out the new arrivals this weekend, but am trying to pick my location carefully to see if I can score some sale deals...

  6. The J.Crew in Orlando had a ton of the ankle zip Minnies on the sale rack last Sunday. I'm not sure how many are left now, but they didn't seem to be selling too quickly and many sizes were still available.

  7. Is the Gabby Satchel really already sold out in 2 colors?

  8. sun in seattle: the crosshatch in grey, sz 4, is on the website now. good luck!

  9. I, too, am hoping to find the crosshatch skirt, grey, size 6. I'm in Canada. So if you happen to see one, just let me know and I'll make a call to the store. No obligations and many thanks.

  10. Huge sale update online, over 1,000 items in the women's section!

    ReplyDelete
  11. Thanks Marietta! I checked for an update earlier, and no dice, now I have another order winging it's way toward me. Just yesterday I was contemplating breaking up with JC, after they sent me another poo-ish order. Today is a new day, though, and fingers are firmly crossed!

It's funny, and very crew-zy, that the girls' dolce sweaters are TWICE as much as the women's version. The vicissitudes of FS...

Since I ordered a few things this morning, I won't be going in to the store. I went yesterday to divest myself of my last order of two items (one with a hole, one was an entirely different item than what I ordered) and there wasn't anything exciting for me. Lots of jewelry on sale, some of it cheaper than online. I saw the ginormous corona bracelet, which looks kind of crazy, but weighs nothing since it's acrylic. The Flintstones crystal rock bracelet is also on sale, and weighs a ton, but looks wee in comparison to the corona.

OT: I saw pics of Keri Russell wearing last spring's chino military jacket in green. I like when celebs do accessible.

  12. I ordered a pair of capris on popback from the sale section. These are from last summer.

At check out, there was no mention of "final sale" on the invoice. Hoping that will make a return easier if the come to me looking less than new.

  13. Not in store, but I just placed an order online for some tees I had in my cart eysterday and the prices have dropped $5 to $10 from yesterday. I'd have liked to have a free ship w.no minimum or an extra20or extra30 to make me smile on this sunny friday, but I still bit. I have a funny feeling this weekend will bring one of the aforementioned offers, but I hope not!

  14. awww, sun in seatle ... the Crabtree Valley Mall JC had that skirt in a 4 last week. You can always call and see if they still have it! It's REALLY nice in person; it reminds me a lot of the Ottoman Jane cotton/linen skirt I picked up recently from JCA'er Denise. Worth its sale price and then some!

  15. 100% off topic, but does anyone else find that the editing team over at jcrew.com misses A LOT? For instance, I ordered the Girls' stripe terry V-neck hoodie this morning (Item #26767) and the colors are transposed, so what should be the "abyss blue ivory" shows up with the photo for the "lagoon green kiwi." Irksome. I accidentally ordered the wrong color because of this. (I wanted the lagoon green kiwi color.) Obviously I contacted J. Crew, but come on! How much do the editors check these before they get published? I recall they were having a similar problem with the striped cashmere short-sleeve shirt. Maybe it is the striped items that get them. Grr.

  16. Can anyone give me a sizing/fit review of the
Cotton-silk strapless top with flower popback, please?
Love it, just not sure my love is justified though. ;)

    Thanks!

  18. Just popped over to my local JC and WOW, the mall was soooooooo crowded! And so was the store! People bumping every which way and the dressing rooms were packed with ppl getting their personal shoppers' comments. :-)

As an aside, my store (Raleigh, NC) had the striped boatneck tee in stock in the gray stripe and the pink-ish stripe, so if you can't wait for your backorder, give them a ring!

OK, so I tried on a lovely Super 120s papillon dress ($69.99) in the brownish color but it was too big. If it had been an extra 20% or 30% off I'd have snapped it up and had it altered straightaway. Ah well.

I did see some of the tees I rodered online today and they were still about $24.99-$19.99 instead of the $14.99 I paid online.

Several pairs of Minnies left on the sale rack, lots and lots of tees, some black blossom skirts and a few decent dresses, including several of the metro dresses from Winter 09, the black ones with the deeeeeep V.

  19. lori,

i'd say the strapless top with flower runs tts to large. i bought my normal size 4 when it was first on sale, and i really should have gotten a 2 as i am small chested. i have only worn it once because of this.. might be popping up on the exchange soon!

anyway, the top is very pretty and i did get compliments the one time i wore it, so i'd snag it at this great price if you can figure out your size.

  20. Sherbie...Thank you! I was too late. I check the site everyday and the stock keeps changing-colors and sizes- but I just didn't get there in time.
Elaine...Thank you too! I will cross my fingers and call
    Have a great weekend!

  21. Lori, I have that cotton strapless top with the flower. I lusted after it for a while and caught it on a pop back a few months ago. The fit is TTS. The cotton silk fabric is nice. It isn't fitted, except at the top band, it is more on the floaty side and comes away from the body a bit. I like that, but I think some people thought it would be more form fitting and were disappointed.

I also placed an order this morning when the website had the huge update. A few tees that came back in my size/color, the wool club pant in black to put away for next winter, the linen silk pants that A Bigger Closet looks so fabulous in, and I'm trying a few of the silk linen v-necks. Also ordered the striped tee at full price in the blush stripe which I think will function as a neutral. I won't be going into the store this weekend since I've ordered quite enough for one week!

  22. I'm still looking for the linen charter skirt in the green color in a size 2 if someone sees it. Thanks for any help!:)

  23. Super long shot, but if anyone sees a zebra Blakely dress in a 0 or 2, please let me know!

    Thanks

  24. Pakcola, I reccomend doing a WWFIFY for the zebra dress. They found a 2 for me a week ago and shipped it free to my house since it was full price!

  25. Lori - I am not sure of the exact top you are interested in, but I think it's JTS reviewed it in this post. I tried one from J Crewlet (factory store), sans flower, in this post.

  26. Hi everyone,

  27. Went to my B&M today, tried on the denim minnies (fail) and the nori jacquard skirt (LOVE the look of the fabric, but also a fail). Only ended up getting the vintage bateau (finally!) Luckily they had one XS left in the gray/pewter color.

Lots of the denim minnies, black Mackenzie blazers (marked at $119 still) and lotssss of tees, most of which have been languishing in FS for well over a month.

  28. Still hoping for my misty lavender Frances cami and Kelsey polka dot cami in size 0. Could probably take in size 2. Let me know if you see anything, and happy shopping to all. :)

  29. sun in seattle,

The skirt is available on the website now! I hope that you get it, and that it ships!!!!

  31. Pakola- I agree that you should do a WWFIFY as there were Blakely Dresses in almost every size yesterday on the site- so there may be more out there. I finally caved and ordered it, and can't wait to get it this week:)

  32. I had a nice surprise in my mailbox today! Mickey sent me the canvas totebag with the two girls and cats in sweaters on it. It came in a cardboard tube. Love it when JCrew makes me feel special since I do so much to keep them in business!

  33. I'm still lusting after a couple of the new flower print perfect shirts, but they'll have to wait because I spent a LOT of money this week and my bank account needs time to recover. ;p I bought several Ferragamo scarves at Century 21 (cheaper than retail but still expensive) and I ordered 2 Akoya pearl necklaces (30" and 24") and a pair of black & white diamond studs from ice.com.

OT, but in case anyone is interested, bing.com is offering a 40% rebate on most jewelry items from ice.com. Go to bing.com and do a web search for "ice.com cashback" to access the 40% rebate link. Or, if you prefer a discount rather than a rebate, I believe "FRFAM" is still valid for 25% off your purchase price. The two promotion cannot be combined.

  34. Thanks, Priya and Twiga

I tried a few weeks ago with no success, will try again!

    Thanks!

  35. No, but I stopped by Ralph Lauren in La Jolla this morning, and they have so many things to die for. Of course, way out of my budget, but I may get one messenger bag, a bit more expensive than JCrew, but SO much better made.

  36. Pakola- keep stalking- Good things come to those who wait!

  37. lilac print pencil skirt, blouse and sweater at garden state plaza and riverside malls. everyday cardigan is also found at both malls but riverside has a better selection, in a couple colors that aren't online(lavender and peach.) cotton rosetta dress is also at both locations. both locations had these awesome satin neon colored headbands that aren't online. riverside had glitter jelly flip flops that were super cute.

  38. For those shopping final sale online, I updated my comprehensive list in this post.

  39. Lori - (I'm JTS; this is my personal e-mail account, and I'm too lazy to sign out and sign back in). I almost caved and ordered that top when it popped back last week...I only refrained because I am trying to cut back on spending a bit. I think it's a gorgeous top - somewhat simple, but I think it's such a nice, clean look, and if I weren't cutting back, I definitely would have snatched it up!!

(And Gigi, thanks for the shout-out! What a memory you have! :))
