J.Crew Email: ENDS TODAY. 20% off sweaters + FREE SHIPPING.

"Thanks!" to many of you who let us know the following.

J.Crew sent an email reminding us about their offers for (1) 30% off select Sweaters for Women (click here to shop online) & (2) free shipping on orders of $150+ with promo code BELLS. Both these offers expires today, at midnight (EST).

J.Crew is also telling us to not forget that 3 days are left for standard Holiday delivery. Below is the chart outlining the deadlines to place orders by the Holidays.
I should also add that J.Crew updated its Sale section (click here) early this morning. As expected, the sale stock is moving very quickly. :)

Lastly, I am pretty sure J.Crew will be running another promotion for tomorrow. {wahoo!} I can't wait to see what it is! :)

Will you be taking advantage of this promotion before it ends? Are there any Sweaters you are interested in getting? What do you think tomorrow's promotion (if any) will be? :)

  1. Thank goodness it ends today! I'm hoping for something a lot better tomorrow. Please, J Crew??

  2. I too am keeping my fingers crossed for a better promo tomorrow. Was about to take the plunge on yet another bling button cardi (I love the fit and loose weave of them sooooo much) but they just sold out of the red color in XS so I'm waiting... pretty sure my B&M still has it so if they finally offer up a good promo that works in stores too I'll be all over it.

  3. One more thing: the bling button cardis are $59.50 in the stores, marked down from $68.00, as of yesterday. Not quite as good as the $54.40 price tag online during the current promo but still beats paying s/h if, like me, that's your only must-have item.

  4. I'm hoping they give out a $100 minimum shipping code soon.

Question: if you order something that is on backorder, do you have the option of canceling it before it ships? Or is J.Crew weird about that?

    ReplyDelete
  5. AppGal, you can call and cancel a backordered item. Very quick and easy and they do not seem to have an issue with it :)

  6. OT: Does anyone know how the Keaton Tuxedo sweater runs? My B&M is holding a small for me but I usually wear a medium. I am hoping its another case of J. Crew inconsistent sizing!!

    Thanks!

  7. I'm tempted, cause I loves me some sweaters, but I feel like I don't want to buy $150 worth to get the free shipping...

  8. Hey - a lot of you have been talking about Canvas, and it drew me to go check out the website last night when I couldn't sleep. Does anyone have a fabulous promo/free shipping code they'd like to share?

  9. Hi guys, saw the annalise cami for $19.99 in stores! The sale in stores is so much better than online!

  10. Hi Jean,

Are all colors of the annalise cami on sale?

    ReplyDelete
  11. Hi Michelle, I saw the ivory & cinnamon spice color are both $19.99...

  12. Jean

Would you please tell me where you saw the Annalise camis?

    Thanks

  13. Hi Belle de jour, I saw the annalise cami @ Madison Ave & 45th Street (NYC)... all the stores should have the same price I assume... actually I'm heading back there to try on a couple things that I have put on hold. Will post here if I see more stuff on sale or price reduced.

  14. Stacy, I believe it runs true to size. I got my usual XS in this and it fits perfectly. If the S is snug, the good thing is there's only one hook closure and I rarely wear it closed anyway. It's definitely worth a try if they have it on hold for you!

  15. OT - is it just me or have the thigh-highs disappeared completely from the site??

  16. No ordering for me until there's a wicked good promo! I did cave instore while during returns and picked up the city tee cardi with the sequin trim neckline. Thanks to whoever posted about that the other day, that kept me on the lookout for it. I love how the cotton corsage fits and washes so nicely so I anticipate really liking this, too. I resisted the antler tee, the $15 pricetag was tempting but I firmly reminded myself that I never get more than two hole free wears from the tissue, so I backed away. Nothing new seems to have been added to the sale, but I did notice Ls in the Dream shawl cardi in both the camel and either the black or navy, reduced to $50. I wish they'd bring back the % off at the B&Ms. This time last year I was filling bags, now I walk out having put money back onto my cards!

  17. Speaking of the antler tee, I was soooo excited to find it in my size and color preference at 45th & Madison yesterday! Then, while waiting on line, I noticed 2 massive holes and had to put it back. I love the tissue tees but I too have had problems with holes (although they usually happen AFTER purchase!)

  18. On topic of promos, BR sent me a coupon for 40% off all FP merchandise when you use your card. So I bought myself a silk blouse and a cashmere sweater for my brother. If JC had a better promo I might have bought my brother's gift there!

Also, Talbot's is currently having buy one, get 50% off second item on everything. I find their clothes kind of frumpy but they do have some cute shoes.

  19. No,I'm not taking advantage of the coupon. Bought a VS Cashmere/Cotton cardi. Good stuff, not see-thru. Loving that it isn't pilling at all.

  20. In case anyone is still looking for the Annalise cami on sale ($19.99), the collection store has them - as of yesterday, according to a blog that I just browsed.

  21. Maxie on General Hospital is wearing the wool-ribbon script coat in dark poppy. Of course I recognized this immediately :P

  22. Jean- which colors of the annalise are $19.99? Thanks!

  23. And the woman who just walked out on Oprah is wearing the Kelsey top in cinnamon spice and ruffled celosia cardi in cinnamon spice, along with what looks like the perfect pencil skirt in black and the herringbone tights.

I need to do something else now.

  24. lilaccupcake, you have me hysterically laughing over here. I do the same thing all the time and everyone thinks I'm obsessed/nuts ;)

  25. Stacy:
I tried the Keaton sweater when they had it marked down last week and the small was loose on my (I normally wear S) so maybe it might work for you.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Ashley, the cinnamon spice & ivory are both $19.99... not sure about the melon color as the sale price is still listed as $49.99 on the tag... all the sizes are pretty much gone for these 2 colors in the Madison & 45 St store.

  27. Drewablank - the thigh highs are not worth it. They completely lose their shape and are baggy after about an hour of wear. Just my $0.02 - I was expecting them to look more like the catalog pic of the metropolitan suede boots (with the grey thigh-highs) and instead they just looked sloppy. I felt kind of like Little Orphan Annie, pre-Daddy Warbucks.

  28. Dara - what can I say, it's a sickness ;) I am so glad I am not alone!

    ReplyDelete
  29. I agree with silver lining. The thigh highs are AWFUL.

  30. Heidi - I'm a west coaster but was up late/early and noticed 730+ items with a couple notable popbacks. I commented in the credit card post at 5:13 EST/ 2:13 PST so it must have been right before then.

The crystal libretto in dusty blossom and scattered petals in barely peach were so great (but I already own) I had to stay up to comment : )

    HTH!

  31. Does anyone know what colors of the "shimmer soiree wrap" are available in store? I remember seeing a chracoal/black one in store that was pretty exciting and maybe a cream one, but only silver & pink online.

In other news, the feather pom-pom pin/hair clip is on sale for $12.99 in all colors - I recommend it! I got a green one and it is so fun. It was a little smashed when it arrived, but dampening and then blowdrying perked it up.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Yay! Thanks for the heads up on the Annalise. I am not a huge fan of the buttons but I LOVE, LOVE the cinnamon spice color and loving the 19.99 price. Located one in my size and she will be mine.

  33. OT: On one of my very rare trips to B&M I tried on the Banquette suiting dress, which was marked down to $69.99. I was excited by the price but am sooooo glad I saw this in person and didn't buy on final sale.

First, the stretch flannel is a lint magnet. All of the flannel suiting in the store looked terrible--covered with hair and fluff. Second, the V neck on the dress was very deep--not only too deep for work but too deep for actual wear, as it showed almost the whole center front of my bra. What were they thinking doing a suiting dress like this?

    ReplyDelete
  34. P.S. No wonder the online photo of the Banquette dress has the model standing in a weird hunched-over pose while wearing three necklaces--they had to hide the neckline.

  35. I'm also waiting to see what tomorrow's promo will be, but I'm pretty shopped out from Christmas anyway.

OT but did anyone else see the spring lookbook email from Talbots? Looking through it was very interesting, lots of color and patterns and maybe a little ruffling (but not too much). Worth a look-see for anyone afraid of JC's spring preview hahaha

  36. OT-Does anyone know what to wear with the cotton check shirt in navy? I saw Patina pair it with the jackie in burnt olive. I am not sure if that color would wash me out. Any other suggestions?

    TIA

  37. Cass - That BR deal was a good deal. I got an email yesterday from Ann Taylor Loft. 40% off everything for cardmembers and free 3-day ship.
    Talk about good deals!

  38. 1st time commenter, I love this blog and appreciate everyone's helpful comments :)

OT - can anyone tell me if I should size down in the toothpick corduroys? Someone left a note about the matchsticks stretching a lot once you wear them, so I'm trying to figure out if I need to return the toothpicks that I just bought that fit perfectly.

    Thanks, thanks!

  39. Getting ready for the stroke of midnight!

And OT - Anyone else not get charged for return shipping? I returned several items from a couple different orders (the result of that one day a few weeks ago when the checkout appeared not to be working when, in fact, it was) using one of the return UPS labels, but when I checked the refunds just now none of them had any shipping deducted. Wondering if that's just me?

  41. Dara, I saw some antler tees at the Mall of America (Minneapolis) store today. I know they had small and medium, but I'm not sure about other sizes.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Mags - I did see Talbot's spring look book, and there are several items that really look promising. Like Ann Taylor, I think Talbots is trying to spiffy things up a bit.

  43. Scarlet, I've been considering both pairs of cords (although I haven't bought either yet). On Monday, I saw an employee wearing the toothpick cords. When I asked about fit, she said they hardly stretch at all.

As far as the matchstick cords, I'd agree that they run a little large. I normally take a 6 (without vanity sizing). The size 26 fit me pretty well, but that could have been a fluke. I just seriously doubt I'm a size 26!

As I said previously, I haven't purchased either pair yet. I don't know how they'd react to long-term wear. But, the stark difference in fit was noticeable even in the dressing room. The pair of toothpick cords you bought are probably the perfect size. I hope this helps. If not, I'm sure JCA's who actually own the toothpick cords will weigh in (:

  44. EXTRA25 = extra 25% off sale items + free shipping with $150 purchase.

  45. Thanks very much, Ashley :) The ankles are a little tight, but everywhere else is just perfect, so I'm glad I get to keep them!

    Thanks again for your help!

  46. @silver lining: Thank you for that review! I still can't find them, but knowing their quality makes my decision a no-go on the thigh-highs! (Sorry for the late response! I hope you all have a happy holiday!)
